Full description
We will take a kayak tour through the marine protected area of the Portofino National Park, discovering its hidden beaches.
During the excursion you will have the opportunity to stop for a snorkelling session to discover the seabed. We will be entering apreserved and protected marine area. There are only a few points where mooring is allowed and for this main reason the presence of a guide is essential.
Don't miss the chance to visit Punta Chiappa, 'Cala dell'oro' and the famous Christ of the Abyss (at a depth of 12 metres). We will carry packed lunches in watertight bags, so there is no risk of getting wet!
What we will do
The meeting is at 10 a.m. at the shop in Recco (GE). After changing in the changing rooms, we will have a briefing to explain how and where we will kayak.
Once we have distributed the necessary equipment, we will begin the kayak trip by paddling southwards in the direction of Punta Chiappa. During the trip you will have the opportunity to stop for a snorkelling session to discover the seabed.
At around 11am we will make a first stop in Camogli (GE ) at the main pier, where there is a second meeting point to join the tour.
Lunchtime is at 12:00. Having retrieved our (dry!) meal from the waterproof bags, we will enjoy a well-deserved moment of relaxation at Punta Chiappa.
At 13:30 we will leave for San Fruttuoso, arriving in about an hour. Here we will enjoy another beautiful swim with masks and flippers to admire the famous Christ of the Abyss (at a depth of 12 metres).
From Punta Chiappa to San Fruttuoso you can also enjoy the extraordinary landscape of the 'Cala dell'oro'. This coastline can only be reached by sea, access by land is strictly prohibited. Around 15:30 the rubber dinghy will pick us up to return to Camogli and Recco. Return is scheduled at 16:00.
The kayak route is approximately 10 km, for a total of 6 hours of excursion.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is of medium level and no experience in kayaking is needed. Good physical condition is required.
The minimum age is 10 years and participants must be able to swim at least 50 metres. Our instructors are always there to support the group to pull those who feel tired.

Important: You must arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes in advance.

The activity is confirmed when there are at least 3 participants (if there are only two of you and the minimum number is not reached, you can make the excursion by paying the extra fee for the third participant on site).
You can leave your personal belongings in lockers at the meeting point and use the showers and changing rooms at the end of the activity.
A packed lunch is not included in the participation fee. You can bring it from home or request it from the organisers after booking.

If you have made a fixed-date booking and the weather conditions are not suitable for safely carrying out the activity (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be fully refunded. The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
