Descend to the underworld, meet your soul mate, fall in love: were you expecting a simple kayak excursion?
Get ready to experience three hours of excitement between paddles along the Porto Torres coastline.
You will enter a circle of Dante in the Grotta dell'Inferno (Hell's Cave), go on an adventure on a secret beach, and then discover all the love for Sardinia between the Grotta Gemella(Twin Cave), the Grotta degli Innamorati (Lovers' Cave)... and an aperitif of typical products!
What we will do
We will meet in Porto Torres at 9:00 am.
After welcoming participants we will have an initial 15 minute briefing with our instructor, to learn how to get on the kayak, avoid capsizing, and the basic manoeuvres of paddling, braking and turning.
At the end of the briefing we will start paddling along the coast of Porto Torres for about 5 km, to reach a suggestive cave (visible only by sea) and the secret beach of Balai Lontana. Here we will make a bathing stop of about 20-25 minutes, to immerse ourselves in the turquoise waters of Sardinia.
Afterwards, we will ascend by kayak to explore other caves. Depending on sea conditions, we will visit the Grotta dell'Inferno, the Grotta Gemella and the Grotta degli Innamorati, with their undisputed natural charm.
We will then head towards the beach of Scoglio Ricco, where we will stop for 20 minutes to enjoy an aperitif of typical Sardinian products such as sausage, spianata, cheese, prosecco and water.
At the end of the aperitif, we will return to the meeting point at around 12 noon, after a 3-hour kayak excursion.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for all physically fit persons from the age of 4.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult (or with a parent's release from 16 years of age).
Other information
The exclusion takes place from April to September, every day, and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants.
You paddle in single or double kayaks (on request), with the itinerary varying depending on weather and sea conditions. Children aged 4 to 6 years travel either attached to the instructor or in a double kayak with their parents.
The meeting place can be reached by public transport. There is an outdoor shower on site, but no changing facilities.
We recommend that you leave your valuables in the car; if necessary, you can hand your mobile phone to the guide, who will store it inside his waterproof bag.
No alternative options for people with food allergies or intolerances are available for the aperitif.
