Have you ever seen an olive tree growing solitary on a rock in the middle of the sea?
It is the icon of the Tonnara di Palmi, from where your kayaking adventure along the spectacular Costa Viola will start.
Paddle along with a federal instructor for about 3 hours until you reach the lively resort of Marinella and be enchanted by the beauty of the Calabrian landscapes!
What we will do
We will meet 10 minutes before the indicated time in Palmi (RC).
We will be welcomed by our guide and federal instructor, who will provide us with equipment and give us a briefing before we enter the water. We will learn the basic paddling manoeuvres and the main safety notions.
Our adventure will start from the Tonnara di Palmi, which stood here in the 20th century. Near the starting point, we will admire the Scoglio dell'Ulivo (Olive Tree Rock), where a solitary tree has stood for 400 years, resisting the wind and saltiness.
We will paddle among the coves of the Tonnara for about 5 km, with a view of the imposing Monte Sant'Elia, until we reach the tourist area of Marinella di Palmi, renowned for its transparent waters.
Here a staff member will be waiting for us to collect our equipment and return our personal belongings. We can then return independently to Palmi by public transport. For a small extra charge, it will be possible to ask the staff to take us back to the meeting point.
The activity will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, from 10 years of age for paddlers. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Children aged 3 to 6 can only participate as passengers in kayaks accompanied by their parents.
It is mandatory to be able to swim and be in good health; the activity is not suitable for people with heart disease or pregnant women.
The maximum weight is 130 kg for single kayaks and 240 kg for double kayaks.

The activity takes place from May to September and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
The itinerary may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
Attention! The excursion ends in Marinella and provides for independent return by public transport (ticket not included). On request, it is possible to agree with the organiser to be taken back to the starting point at a cost of approximately €3 per person, payable locally.
Single and double kayaks are available, some of which are equipped to accommodate up to two children between the ages of 3 and 6 together with their parents.
There are no toilets, showers or changing rooms at the meeting point. Any personal belongings can be left with the staff during the excursion. Common waterproof bags are also available for storing small items. Waterproof mobile phone cases can be purchased on site, with payment in cash.
It is not possible to participate with your own dog.
The meeting point is easily accessible by public transport. There is free parking, but in high season it is difficult to find space.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
