A half-day exploring the wonders of the Costa Viola: it sounds like a dream, but you can make it a reality!
Join this kayaking tour from Bagnara Calabra and discover the unique coastal landscapes, with their picturesque caves and coves, accompanied by a qualified instructor.
Paddle after paddle, you’ll reach Cala Janculla, where you can enjoy an unforgettable dip!
What we will do
We’ll meet 10 minutes before the time stated at the meeting point in Bagnara Calabra (RC).
We’ll be met by our guide and federation-certified instructor, who’ll provide us with the equipment and give a brief briefing before we head out onto the water. We’ll learn the basic paddling manoeuvres and key safety procedures.
Then we’ll be ready to set off! We’ll paddle northwards along the rocky coastline, taking in the views of the Costa Viola. This stretch of coastline owes its name to the violet hues that the sea and rocks take on at sunset, but even during the day its hidden corners will take our breath away. Along the way, we’ll admire the Grotta del Monaco, the Grotta delle Rondini, Cala di San Sebastiano and the route of the Sentiero di Murat directly from the sea.
We’ll eventually reach Cala Janculla, where we’ll finally enjoy a swim to cool off and recharge our batteries before heading back.
We’ll then return to the meeting point. The activity will last approximately 4 hours in total ( this may vary by half an hour depending on the group’s pace) .
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, from 10 years of age for paddlers. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Children aged 3 to 6 can only participate as passengers in kayaks accompanied by their parents.
It is mandatory to be able to swim and be in good health; the activity is not suitable for people with heart disease or pregnant women.
The maximum weight is 130 kg for single kayaks and 240 kg for double kayaks.
Other information
The activity takes place from May to September and is confirmed provided there are at least 4 participants.
The route may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
Single and double kayaks are available, some of which are equipped to accommodate up to two children aged between 3 and 6 alongside their parents.
There are no toilets, showers or changing rooms at the meeting point. Any personal belongings can be left in the care of the staff whilst the excursion is taking place. Shared waterproof bags are also available for storing small items. Waterproof mobile phone cases can be purchased on site, payable in cash.
You cannot bring your dog on the excursion.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport. Free parking is available, although it can be difficult to find a space during the high season.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
