Have you always been intrigued by kitesurfing but never had the opportunity to try it? Make up for it now with our 3-hour basic kitesurfing course in Porto Cesareo, which will familiarise you with this fun water sport.
With our instructor you will learn the basics, how to fly the kite correctly and make the right moves while riding the waves without losing your balance.
You can book the course individually or in pairs with whomever you wish. It will be an unforgettable experience full of emotions. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
The meeting is in Scala di Furno, a hamlet in the municipality of Lecce. On arrival we will be welcomed by theinstructor, who will hand us thenecessary equipment (included). Before moving on to the actual lesson, the characteristics of the board and kite will be explained to us in order to master them as best we can.
In the first step, the kite will have shorter lines than the standard size (10 metres), a choice that will allow us to understand what it means to fly the kite and to practise the basic movements of this sport.
The second step is to use a kite with longer lines (15 metres) in order to learn the handling of the wing and more advanced safety measures such as self rescue, the so-called 'lifesaving manoeuvre', to be used if, for example, we find ourselves in the water and the kite has no intention of starting again.
In the third phase we will learn how to manoeuvre in the most diverse situations in order to gain fluency in handling the kite. For example, we will be explained the position of body drag and the position of starting on the board. Once we have understood everything, we will enter the water to put into practice what we have been taught.
The course can also be taken by those who already have experience with kitesurfing. In this case, the instructor will customise the course by helping to solve problems and critical technical movements.
The course lasts a total of 3 hours, including lessons on the beach and in the water.
Who it is aimed at
The course is suitable for everyone over the age of 14 and is aimed at those who have never tried kitesurfing or those who want to perfect their skills in this sport.
No specific skills are required, the important thing is to weigh at least 40 kg.
Other information
The activity can be booked from October to May, weather permitting, and can be done individually or in pairs.
For beginners, the lesson will begin on the beach and end in the water only if the minimum learning conditions are reached.
