Tandem parachute jump in Ferrara

If the universe had wanted us to stay on the ground, it would have created us with roots. In the absence of those, we can even conquer the sky and, with this parachute jump, we will become its kings!

Come to Ferrara, reach an altitude of 3,000 metres aboard a plane and jump into the void together with an expert instructor. Taste theadrenaline in 40 seconds of free fall at 200 km/h and then be enveloped in idyllic peace as the parachute opens.

Glide gently for about 5 minutes while enjoying a unique view of the city of Ferrara and its beautiful castles. The world below will seem tiny and will bow at your feet, at which point you will be the undisputed king of the sky! Ready for this amazing adventure?

What we will do

We will meet at the meeting point in Ferrara, where we will be welcomed by an experienced instructor who will accompany us throughout the experience. We will attend an introductory briefing of about 20 minutes in which we will be explained how the activity will take place and we will be shown the tandem parachute we will use. In addition, we will simulate jumping out of the plane on a special mattress until we have learnt the correct jumping technique.

At that point, we will be ready for our adventure: we will be provided with a suit, helmet, goggles and neck warmer and we will board theplane together with our instructor, not before a final harness check.

In the plane, we will fly for about 25 minutes and reach an altitude of 3,000 metres. At that moment we will quiver withexcitement at the idea of theadrenalin rush we will soon experience and we will feel as brave and reckless as ever! When the moment comes, we will charge up and, firmly harnessed to our instructor, we will jump out of the plane, abandoning ourselves to a free fall of about 40 seconds at 200 km/h.

Our hearts will stop in our throats in a magnificent moment of pure freedom that will end with theopening of the parachute at about 1,300 metres. At that point, we will hover for about five minutes, savouring the peace that surrounds us. From above, we will be able to admire Ferrara and its beautiful castles, the river Po and the landscapes surrounding it. The world will seem very small and we will feel like the masters of the sky!

We will land at the starting point, satisfied and happy to have had this unique experience. To remember it, we will be able to purchase a video of our launch shot with a GoPro or Action Cam.

The total duration of the activity, including briefing, is approximately one and a half hours.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is reserved for people over the age of 18.

To participate, you must be in good health: people with medical conditions cannot take part in the activity (in case of uncertainty, ask your doctor for advice).

In addition, participants must have a maximum weight of 100 kg and be able to lift their legs during the landing (for safety reasons, people with prostheses cannot participate).

Other information

The activity is available every weekend and public holidays throughout the year.

Pleasenote: it is important not to consume alcohol or heavy meals before the parachute jump. It is not necessary to be on an empty stomach, just favour light meals.

Themeeting point cannot be reached by public transport: you can request a free transfer from the station (return trip) by contacting the activity organisers in advance using the contact details you will receive in your booking confirmation e-mail. In addition, the meeting point corresponds to the landing point: any accompanying persons can wait here. There are several refreshment points in the area.

It is possible to make a parachute jump a few seconds away from another person (each with his or her own instructor) by making a request to the hotel using the contact details you will receive in your booking confirmation email.

A video of your own parachute jump can be purchased on site for a surcharge.
