Full description
Learn to ride the waves against the backdrop of the beautiful Agrigento coastline! Our instructors are waiting for you in San Leone, where you can join a 2-hour surf lesson suitable for beginners.
After arriving by van at the chosen spot for the lesson, you will prepare yourself for the physical activity with stretching and specific exercises, then you will learn how to get on the board and keep your balance. You will thus have the opportunity to test yourself and have fun with a truly exciting and engaging sport.
What we will do
We will meet in San Leone, at the meeting point communicated in the booking confirmation. Here we will meet our surfing instructor and, once all the participants have gathered, we will board the van that will take us to the chosen location for the lesson.
The location may vary depending on the marine weather conditions and the season: the Terza Spiaggia in San Leone, Cannatello (a seaside village in Agrigento) and the Baia del Kaos in Porto Empedocle are some of the best surfing spots around.
We will always begin with a stretching phase, with exercises to prepare our bodies for the physical activity ahead. This will be followed by the practical part, which can be adapted according to the level of the participants. We will learn how to get on the board and stay balanced, how to assess currents and waves, and how to perform safety manoeuvres, such as recovering the leash and board.
One of the classic lessons for those starting out in surfing concerns the so-called take-off, i.e. the push to get on the board.
We will thus discover a fascinating and fun sport that can be practised in any season, in summer as well as in winter. At the end of the lesson, we will re-board the van that will take us back to the meeting point, where we will be able to use the changing rooms and coin-operated showers to change.
The total duration of the activity will be 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at everyone from 6 years of age. Up to 12 years of age, the presence of a parent is required.
The lesson is ideal for beginners, so no previous surfing experience is necessary. The only requirement is knowing how to swim.
Other information
Lessons are held all year round, every day, subject to weather and sea conditions.
When booking, you can choose between different packages: '1 lesson', '2 lessons' or '3 lessons'. In the case of packages of several lessons, these may be held on consecutive or non-consecutive days, depending on the arrangements made with the organiser.
At the end of the activity, participants will be provided with changing rooms and showers at the nearby campsite.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
