But this wine cellar visit and tasting experience in Castiglione Falletto is much more: you will take a 2000-year-long journey through time, discovering the history of the area and wine production. All this within a refined farmstead and winery dedicated to the cultivation of Barolo and Nebbiolo, in the heart of the Langhe UNESCO World Heritage site.
A 3-hour experience, enriched by a tasting lunch or dinner with wine pairing (and what wines) !
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the meeting point in Castiglione Falletto (CN): inside a refined farmstead, in the heart of the Langhe UNESCO heritage site.
The experience will begin with a guided tour of the winery: the host farmstead is in fact a farm dedicated to the cultivation of Barolo and Nebbiolo grapes. The guide will take us on a 2000-year-long journey to discover the history of the area and wine production, with Barolo as the protagonist. The visit to the winery will last about 1 hour.
Afterwards, we will climb up to the panoramic tower to toast with 1 glass of local white wine to anticipate the lunch or tasting dinner. Depending on the best conditions of the day, the latter will take place on the terrace or in the panoramic restaurant room.
The menu includes starters with meat tartare, a platter of sausage and raw salami, homemade Russian salad, 1 traditional first course, 1 platter of local cheeses with jam, dessert and coffee; accompanied by 3 red wines from the farm such as Dolcetto d'Alba, Barolo Bussia and Barolo Pugnane.
The experience will last about 3 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone without age limits. Children aged between 2 and 8 participate by paying the reduced rate, which includes the children's menu (starter, pasta dish, dessert, water) ; any children who request the adult menu participate by paying the full rate. Children aged 0 to 2 years old participate free of charge and are invited to bring their own food: please contact the establishment at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to report the presence of infants.
The experience is not wheelchair accessible.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
