There are those who come to Valtellina for the pizzoccheri and those who lie. If in addition to those, you also love good wine, we have the ultimate experience for you!
We are waiting for you in Bianzone, at the splendid Tenuta La Gatta of the Triacca family, an ancient 16th century monastery transformed into a temple of taste.
Here, a typical Valtellina lunch awaits you in which traditional dishes will be accompanied by 5 glasses of wine, for a complete food and wine experience!
What we will do
The appointment is at 11 a. m. at Tenuta La Gatta in Bianzone (SO), in the splendid setting of the Valtellina terraces. We will be welcomed by a guide who will accompany us on a journey of discovery of this unique wine-growing and wine-producing reality, which began as a Dominican monastery and is now the heart of the Triacca family's production.
We will begin with a guided tour through the vineyards surrounding the residence, discovering how Nebbiolo is the undisputed protagonist of these lands. We will then continue inside the historic cellar, where, amidst barrels and wine-making secrets, we will breathe in the history and authenticity of a tradition that has lasted for decades.
The highlight will be the typical Valtellina lunch: we will begin with a welcome aperitif of selected mixed cold cuts and a glass of white wine. We will then move to the table to enjoy La Gatta 's famous handmade pizzoccheri , followed by a sampling of local cheeses, dessert and coffee. During the meal, the tasting will go into full swing with four more red wines from the Triacca selection, including the prized Sforzato.
The experience will last a total of about 3½ hours , including the visit and lunch.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for 18 year olds and above.
The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying minors from 11 to 18 years of age may participate at a cost of €20; children from 5 to 10 years of age cost €10, while children up to 4 years of age participate free of charge.
The facility is accessible to people with mobility problems (please advise the facility after booking confirmation) , however, please note that the historic wine cellar is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
The experience is available all year round and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 people.
Lunch will be provided exclusively, while the visit to the wine cellar may take place together with other participants.
Attention! Out of respect for the other participants, if you arrive after 11: 30 a. m. , the shared tour of the winery is not guaranteed, but you will be able to visit the winery and the vineyard after lunch on your own.

Dogs are allowed during the experience.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
