Fancy venturing into unspoilt landscapes, film sets and ancient legends? The Cilento mini-cruise is the perfect experience for you.
A day-long boat trip awaits you, taking you on a journey to discover all the natural beauty of Cilento, including caves, rocky outcrops, lighthouses and crystal-clear bays perfect for a dip, as well as a lunch featuring Cilento specialities.
It will be a journey through nature and culture, during which you’ll discover some of the locations made famous by the film *Benvenuti al Sud*, explore the island of Licosa – where a siren seduced Ulysses – and visit the seaside village of Acciaroli, the inspiration for Hemingway’s novel ‘The Old Man and the Sea’ by Hemingway.
What we will do
We’ll meet at Agropoli harbour 15 minutes before the time specified when you made your booking. Once we’ve boarded, we’ll set off straight away on our mini cruise around the Cilento.
We’ll sail past Punta Fortino, the Grotta dell’Elefante, the lighthouse and the rocks of San Francesco and Trentova, before making our first stop for a swim in Baia del Saùco. We’ll continue towards the Santa Maria di Castellabate Marine Protected Area, admiring Punta Tresino, Cala San Giovanni and the famous locations from the film *Benvenuti al Sud*, before reaching the historic harbour of San Marco di Castellabate.
Once we reach the enchanting Punta Licosa – a heavenly spot and unmissable destination within the Cilento National Park – we’ll sail round the island, before stopping for a second swim and a spot of snorkelling at Ogliastro Ripe Rosse Bay. We’ll then disembark at the fishing village of Acciaroli, famous for having inspired Hemingway’s “The Old Man and the Sea”.
For lunch, we’ll be given a packed lunch featuring traditional Cilento specialities:
- Adult menu: cold pasta with sun-dried cherry tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella from Campania, basil and crumbled almonds; aubergine parmigiana; Cilento-style ciambotta, bread, water.
- Children’s menu: cold pasta with tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella from Campania, and a cutlet.
After lunch, we’ll set off again from the port of Acciaroli for a third stop to swim and go snorkelling at the island of Licosa. We’ll reach the port of Agropoli after an excursion lasting approximately 8 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit.
It is also possible to conduct the tour for passengers in wheelchairs or with mobility disabilities. Contact the organisers at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email for assistance with boarding procedures.
Other information
The tour is available on Thursdays in July and August and is confirmed with a minimum of 10 participants.
Depending on availability, you will travel on one of the following boats
- motor catamaran with a 60-metre platform, with toilets, awning and capacity for 45 persons.
- 11 m motor boat with sanitary facilities, awning and capacity for 15 persons.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
