Full description
Discover the marvellous nature of the Foce Sele-Tanagro Nature Reserve with a river itinerary full of emotions, to be undertaken aboard a mini-raft, the inflatable canoe with 2-3 seats.
You will immerse yourself in the splendid environment of theCilento hinterland, in the province of Salerno, characterised by surprising natural treasures and flora and fauna of great interest in terms of the variety and rarity of certain species.
It will be the perfect experience for those who want to combine sport, fun and environmental discovery!
What we will do
The meeting point will be at the rafting centre in Postiglione (SA). After forming the group and getting to know the instructors, we will have a briefing on the activity and safety regulations. After that, we will be given theequipment and move with the guides' vehicles to the starting point of the excursion, on the banks of the Sele or Tanagro rivers, depending on the time of year and the flow of water.
We will descend on mini-rafts, sort of inflatable canoes with 2 or 3 seats, similar to rafting dinghies but much more agile and manageable. Before setting off, we can decide whether we want to ride it ourselves or whether we prefer to have an instructor on board. In any case, even if we choose to drive the canoe independently, we will always be assisted by the guides who will accompany us along the route.
We will paddle along an enjoyable and scenic stretch of river, alternating between adrenalin-pumping moments on the rapids and calm paddling in the crystal-clear waters in contemplation of the landscape. The length of the route may vary depending on the level and experience of the group. At the end, we will be taken back to the meeting point.
The activity lasts about 3 hours, of which 1.5 hours in the water.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is of an easy level. It is not necessary to have rafting experience, but aquatics and good physical condition are required. Children from 6 years of age can also participate.
Other information
The activity takes place from April to October at the times indicated in the calendar and is confirmed, subject to availability, when there are at least 5 participants.
The centre is equipped with changing rooms and an outdoor shower.
Accompanying persons are welcome: a shaded picnic area with barbecue is provided for them (free use for activity participants, paid use for accompanying persons.
