Have you ever looked at the sea and thought: who knows what lies beneath?
At Baia the answer is spectacular: an entire sunken city, with streets, Roman villas and mosaics telling stories from over two thousand years ago.
Set sail aboard Iris, the transparent-bottomed boat, to admire this hidden treasure, sail towards the Aragonese Castle and push on to Cape Miseno. And between stops, you can enjoy a typical Phlegrean lunch lulled by the sound of the waves.
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Bacoli (NA), 15 minutes before the time indicated in the booking.
We will set off to discover the wonders of the Sunken City of Baia. Listening to the curiosities and anecdotes told by our archaeological-naturalistic guide on board, we will immerse ourselves in the history of this fascinating area and admire the seabed through the transparent bottom of the boat.
Sailing on the sea of the Phlegraean Fields, we will also be able to admire the spectacular Aragonese Castle and make a swimming stop from the boat at Cape Miseno. Other swimming stops can be made along the way, at points and of varying duration depending on weather and sea conditions.
While we relax and listen to the sound of the waves, on board we will also enjoy a lunch with a typical menu (included): caprese with tomatoes from the Campi Flegrei and buffalo mozzarella from Campania, freselle with fresh local tomatoes, tuna and onions, Phlegrean mussels peppered with onions, fresh fruit in season, with an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink.
We will return to Bacoli after a 6-hour excursion.
Who it is aimed at
The tour is suitable for all ages. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The boat is wheelchair-accessible (maximum 1 per group, upon request to the organisers).
Other information
The excursion takes place from July to September on the dates indicated in the calendar and is confirmed with a minimum of 10 participants.
Departure is on board a 14-metre boat with a transparent bottom, ideal for admiring underwater archaeological finds. The boat is covered and equipped with tents for shelter from the sun and toilets.

Small and medium-sized dogs are allowed, maximum one per participant.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
