Full description

Conquering Monte Baldo – with a little electric help.

Set off from Brentonico for a 5-hour e-bike tour along one of Monte Baldo’s most beautiful routes. You’ll cycle through farmland, woods, pastures and ancient military mule tracks, reaching an altitude of 1, 600 metres between Monte Vignola and Corno della Paura.

Following your guide, you’ll discover First World War emplacements and tunnels, and you can treat yourself to a stop at a mountain hut to sample local specialities.

What we will do

We’ll meet at 9. 30 am at the meeting point in Polsa, a village in the municipality of Brentonico (TN). Before setting off, the guide will hand out bikes and helmets, explain the controls and how the front-motor e-bike works, and give us a chance to familiarise ourselves with the bike.

From here, we’ll set off on a circular route of around 27 km that will take us through a variety of very different landscapes. We’ll first pass through the hilly, cultivated areas of the plateau, before heading into the woods and climbing up to the mountain pastures of Polsa and San Valentino and the summits of Monte Vignola and Corno della Paura, reaching a maximum altitude of around 1, 600 metres.

We’ll also cycle through sites marked by the Great War, encountering Austro-Hungarian military structures, ancient mule tracks, tunnels and Italian Royal Army positions. Along the route, the guide will share facts and interesting tidbits about the history of this side of Monte Baldo.

There’ll be plenty of nature to enjoy too: with a bit of luck, we might spot marmots, chamois, roe deer and birds of prey, whilst on clear days the view will stretch from the Venetian plains to the Brenta Dolomites, the Atesine Alps and the Emilian Apennines.

We’ll then reach Baita Montagnola, near the Polsa ski lifts, where we can stop for refreshments and sample some of the region’s traditional dishes. Lunch is optional and not included in the price.

Finally, we’ll set off again along picturesque military mule tracks overlooking the Adige Valley, before tackling a long and enjoyable descent that will take us back towards Brentonico. The experience will last a total of around 5 hours.
