Hop on your e-MTB and come and explore the Monte Pellegrino Nature Reserve in Palermo!
Accompanied by a private guide, you’ll follow the ancient pilgrims’ route to the evocative sacred grotto of the Sanctuary of Santa Rosalia. You’ll cycle effortlessly for around 30 km, taking in views of the Gulf and old World War II outposts.
Four hours of pure adventure await you, combining history with spectacular views!
What we will do
We’ll meet 30 minutes before the scheduled time at the meeting point in Palermo (PA), where the guide will welcome us. After a brief introductory briefing, we’ll hop on our e-MTBs and set off on the ride.
We’ll begin the climb along the ‘via antica’, the historic route taken by worshippers during the festival of Santa Rosalia. Amidst anecdotes and stunning natural views, we’ll reach the summit of the mountain. Once at the top, we’ll stop at the famous sacred cave of the Sanctuary. The guide will tell us the story of this mystical place before leaving us to explore the interior at our leisure.
We’ll then cycle to the old anti-aircraft batteries from the Second World War, now transformed into a spectacular vantage point from which to admire the entire Gulf of Palermo. Here we’ll take a break to refresh ourselves with a freshly squeezed orange juice (included) and recharge our batteries before the descent.
We’re due to return after a total of around 4 hours’ cycling, following scenic tarmac roads with views of the city that will take us back to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is easy and is open to everyone aged 14 and over who is at least 150 cm tall.
To take part, you must be able to ride a bike.
Other information
The tour is available all year round and is aimed at private groups of up to 8 participants.
Important: you must contact the guide at least 2 days before the tour to provide your weight and height, so that the most suitable e-bike can be allocated.
Child seats and trailers are not available, as these are sports e-MTBs. The tour will use Atala B Cross e-MTBs with pedal assistance and a Bosch motor.
There are both free and paid car parks on site. The meeting point is accessible by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
