Full description

Get ready for a journey into the culture and art of the Venice Lagoon! On this 4-hour boat tour you will explore the islands of Murano and Burano, world-famous for their ancient crafts and colours.

In the company of a multilingual tour guide , you'll discover the history and peculiarities of these fascinating islands: on Murano you'll see glassblowers at work, while on Burano you'll be captivated by postcard views.

You can choose to embark near Santa Lucia railway station or from the Landing Cornoldi, near St. Mark's Square. We look forward to seeing you on board!

What we will do

Departure is from Santa Lucia at 10:00 am or 10:30 am from the Approdi Corn oldi (choose the point that is most convenient for you when booking). Once the group has boarded at Santa Lucia, we will proceed to St. Mark's Square to let the other passengers board from the Cornoldi Landing. We will then be ready to immerse ourselves in the magic of the Venice Lagoon and its islands.

We will begin our adventure by heading to the enchanting Murano, famous for its thousand-year-old tradition of glass-blowing. During the tour, we will provide in-depth explanations in several languages to ensure that all participants fully understand the visit.

Once disembarked on the island of Murano, we will attend a short glass-blowing demonstration conducted by a master glassmaker. Admission to the glassworks is included and you will have the opportunity to admire the skill of the talented craftsmen at first hand and discover their distinctive marks. Our stop in Murano will be about 1 hour.

Our next stop will be the island of Burano, with its picturesque, brightly coloured houses. Together, we will enjoy Burano's most iconic sights, such as the leaning bell tower and the atmospheric Piazza Baldassare Galuppi, named after one of the greatest Venetian composers of the 18th century.

In Burano we can visit a lace shop and taste the delicious Buranelli biscuits, typical of the island, and of course take a million photos! Again, we will stay on the island for about 1 hour.

The tour will end at 2.30 p.m. at the Landing Cornoldi and at 3 p.m. in Santa Lucia, lasting about 4 hours.

Other information

The tour is available all year round.

Depending on the number of passengers, different boats can be used: an enclosed speedboat (30 to 90 persons) or a double-decker motorboat with an open top(up to 250 persons). No toilet facilities are available on board.

Since the boats are covered, tours are guaranteed even in the rain.

Dogs of all sizes are allowed on board, provided they are kept on a leash; a muzzle is also required for medium to large dogs .

During the winter season, the facilities in Murano and Burano may be closed for a few days off. Any closures will be communicated to participants and alternatives will be offered for the visit.

When booking, you will be able to choose whether to depart "from Santa Lucia" or "from Approdi Cornoldi". If they wish, passengers who have boarded at Santa Lucia have the option of disembarking at Approdi Cornoldi at the end of the tour, while those who have boarded at Approdi Cornoldi and wish to disembark at Santa Lucia can purchase a supplementary ticket on board.

Guide explanations will be given in several languages during the same tour.
