What makes this excursion to the La Maddalena Archipelago different from the others?
Thevintage boat on which you will sail, which adds value to the 'fairytale' scenery of the National Park. On board, you will also find a friendly and professional crew, who will accompany you on your discovery of the area. There will, of course, be no shortage of dives and swimming stops, to continue the off-board exploration.
An opportunity to spend a day at sea, and what a sea: that of Sardinia!
What we will do
The rendezvous is 10 minutes before the time indicated in the calendar at the meeting point in La Maddalena (SS) or Palau (SS) depending on the embarkation selected during the booking process. We will first depart from La Maddalena at 10:00 a.m., followed by the departure from Palau at 10:15 a.m.; welcoming us on board will be the crew who will accompany us on this excursion in the La Maddalena Archipelago!
Once all passengers have finished boarding, the navigation will begin. We will pass by theIsland of Santo Stefano and Capo d'Orso, and then greet the Fort of San Giorgio, the Villa Marina Tower and theformer American NATO Military Base. We will pass under the scenic bridge that joins La Maddalena and Caprera, before reaching the latter after about 30 minutes. We will then make our first swimming stop off Cala Garibaldi, diving into the irresistible Sardinian sea.
Back on board, we will depart in the direction of Budelli , which we will reach after about 40 minutes of sailing in the beautiful natural setting of the Maddalena Archipelago National Park. Once at our destination, there will be a one-and-a-half-hour stop during which we can choose to: stay on board and enjoy the sun, dive for the umpteenth swimming break, or go ashore with the crew to spot the famous Pink Beach from above.
Our next and final stop will be Spargi, where we will make a 2-hour swim stop off Cala Conneri. On the way back, we will pass Punta Sardegna, Porto Rafael and Nelson Bay. Disembarkation in Palau is scheduled at 17:30, for a total duration of 7 hours; disembarkation in La Maddalena is scheduled at 18:00, for a total duration of 8 hours.
Who it is aimed at
Attention! Departure from La Maddalena is scheduled at 10:00 a.m.; departure from Palau is scheduled at 10:15 a.m. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the departure time.
The experience is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 18 must be accompanied on board by an adult.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
Attention! The experience will last a total of 7 or 8 hours depending on the embarkation and disembarkation point selected during the booking process.
The experience takes place from May to October and is confirmed once the minimum number of 15 participants has been reached.
When booking, you are asked to purchase the desired embarkation point among the options"embarkation in La Maddalena" or"embarkation in Palau". In the case of embarkation in Palau, there is parking on site; the meeting point can be reached by public transport.
In the case of embarkation in Palau, there is an on-site cash payment of a disembarkation tax in La Maddalena: €5.00 per person from June to August, €2.50 per person in the other months of the year.
Theboat is an 18-metre-long vintage motor vessel with a sun deck, covered deck and toilets. Shoes are allowed on board. Dogs are allowed on board, but it is necessary to contact the organiser in advance at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to ascertain whether it is actually possible to take your four-legged friend with you.
There is a bar on board the boat where you can buy food and drinks. People with food allergies and/or intolerances are invited to bring a packed lunch.
