What we will do
The rendezvous is at 9.00 a.m. at the port of Marina di Campo, where the crew will welcome us and take us aboard the motorboat. Once all participants are seated on board, we will set sail promptly at 9.30 am.
We will start sailing towards our destination, St Andrew. We will make a 30-minute swim stop where we will be able to dive into the clear waters and, if we wish, admire the seabed full of life: wrasse, damselfish and starfish, and, it really happened to us, even the beautiful sea turtles!
We will continue on to the Pomonte Wreck, discovering the history of this merchant ship that sank in 1972 off the coast of Elba. Here too we will stop for about 30 minutes for a swim among the colourful fish and some snorkelling. After passing the wreck we will pass by the Campo Lo Feno beach, where the colours of the water create enchanting effects in contrast to the pebble seabed.
It will then be the turn of the spectacular Blue Grotto, famous for its intense colours and plays of light. We will make a third swimming stop to dive near the cave and swim inside, where there is a small sandy cove. At this point, we will head towards the beautiful beaches of Fetovaia or Patresi for afinal stop of about 30 minutes.
Continuing on, we will encounter the legendary Sedia di Napoleone (Napoleon's Chair), a flattened piece of cliff from which, according to legend, Napoleon loved to observe Corsica. It is a place rich in history and charm, accessible only by sea.
We will reverse course to finally go in search of dolphins, which can easily be spotted in this area. Return to the port of departure is scheduled for 2.30 pm, after a 5-hour excursion.
