Full description
Discover the beauty of Scilla from a marine perspective. Climb aboard a motor boat and sail for two hours along the Ulysses Rock, the Ruffo Castle perched on its rocky spur, the beach of Marina Grande and Capo Pacì with its colourful houses built on the rock.
After this first part of the trip, the boat will reverse course to take you to Chianalea, an ancient fishing district with narrow streets reminiscent of Venetian canals.
The excursion also includes a 30-minute swim in the crystal-clear waters of the seaside hamlet of Favazzina. Dive in with us!
What we will do
We will meet at the port of Scylla, where our boat and skipper will be waiting for us. After positioning ourselves on board, we will begin our navigation starting from the Ulysses Rock and the Ruffo Castle. The latter stands on an imposing spur of rock overlooking the sea and dominates the town from above.
We will then head towards the district 'sutta u chianu', which in local dialect means under the plane. We will also admire from the boat Marina Grande, Scilla's largest beach with its pebbly shore and crystal-clear sea. Leaving Marina Grande behind, we will head towards the Costone Tre Croci and Capo Pacì, where we can take out our smartphones and cameras to capture the many colourful villas built on the rock.
At this point, our boat will reverse course to reach Scilla's most picturesque district, theold fishing district of Chianalea. We will thus almost have the impression of being in front of a miniature Venice, thanks to the many narrow streets that flow into the sea like real canals.
After Chianalea, the Oliveto beach awaits us, and finally Favazzina, where we will stop for a 30-minute boat swim. We will thus immerse ourselves in the clear waters of this seaside hamlet of Scilla, characterised by clear beaches and rocks emerging from the water.
Once back on board, we will sail back to our starting point. The tour lasts a total of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The tour is suitable for everyone and recommended from 8 months of age. Children aged 0 to 5 years participate free of charge: notify the skipper of their presence after booking confirmation.
The boat is not accessible to wheelchairs and persons with reduced mobility.
Other information
The tour runs from June to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 people.
The itinerary may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
Depending on the number of participants and availability, one of the following boats may be used for the excursion
- 7-metre motor gozzo with awning, cushions and ladder;
- 10-metre motor launch with awning, shower and stern platform.
Upon request, it is possible to take a small dog on board. Contact the skipper at the contact details given in the booking confirmation email to check availability.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
