Discover one of the most beautiful and evocative places in Sardinia, the Grotta del Bue Marino. Once the habitat of the monk seal, the cave fascinates millions of people today with its hidden lakes of crystal-clear water and splendid play of light.
Set sail from Cala Gonone on board a comfortable and spacious motorboat and visit the cave on foot to learn all its secrets.

What we will do
The appointment is at the port of Cala Gonone 30 minutes before departure. Once everyone has boarded the motorboat, we will set off in the direction of the Grotta del Bue Marino.
The cave owes its name to the nickname the shepherds used to call the monk seal "Su Oe 'e Mare", which used these cavities to give birth to its pups.
After a 20-minute boat ride, we will reach the cave and disembark for the guided walking tour (the entrance ticket to the cave is not included and can be purchased on site before departure).
During the tour, which lasts about 1 hour, we will walk inside these wonderful galleries, where the sea water forms many crystal-clear lakes. We will also be able to admire stalactites and stalagmites of different colours, which, thanks to the play of light and shadow, will give us a spectacle of rare beauty.
At the end of the visit, we will re-board the motorboat to return to the port of Cala Gonone. The activity lasts 2 hours.

The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children up to 3 years of age do not pay.

Attention! Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time.
The tour can be booked from April to October, weather permitting.
The motorboat can accommodate up to 150 people and is equipped with a toilet. Small dogs are allowed on board, but are not allowed on the beaches and must be held during the visit to the cave.
The ticket for the Sea Ox Cave is not included and can be purchased online or at the ticket office before departure. The cost is €10 for adults, €5 for children (6-12 years) and free for children under 5 years.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
