Day by motorboat to Vulcano, Panarea and Stromboli

Get ready to set sail with us and discover the wonders of the Aeolian Islands!

On board our motorboat, you’ll be able to explore three of the archipelago’s most picturesque islands in complete comfort: Vulcano, Panarea and Stromboli.

With views of Calajunco and Grotta del Cavallo, stops ashore to explore the islands at your own pace, and the evening spectacle of the Sciara del Fuoco, this will be an excursion you won’t forget in a hurry!

What we will do

We set off at 9. 30 am from the port of Lipari (ME). On arrival (15 minutes early to allow time for boarding) , the crew will welcome us and escort us aboard the comfortable motor vessel.

Once we have left the harbour, we will head towards the island of Vulcano, the third largest in the archipelago. During the journey, we’ll be able to admire the spectacular coastline of Vulcanello and the evocative Valley of the Monsters, where lava formations create fantastical shapes. We’ll pass by the Bay of the Black Sands and continue on to the Grotta del Cavallo, where we’ll stop to admire it from the sea.

After passing close to Gelso, the southernmost part of the island, we’ll disembark at Vulcano harbour. We’ll have around two hours of free time here, during which we can take a stroll through the town centre or have lunch on the beach or in one of the island’s many restaurants.

In the early afternoon, we’ll leave Vulcano and set course for Panarea, the smallest and most glamorous of the Aeolian Islands. We’ll sail along the stunning bays of Calajunco and Zimmari, surrounded by crystal-clear waters and the remains of ancient prehistoric villages, before mooring in the harbour, where we’ll stay for about an hour to explore the lively centre of Panarea.

We’ll then set off again for the third island on our trip, Stromboli, passing between the islets of Basiluzzo and Spinazzola. Once we arrive in front of Europe’s most active volcano, we’ll prepare to disembark at the port of Scari. We’ll have time to swim in the cobalt-blue waters, visit the house where Ingrid Bergman stayed whilst filming the movie “Stromboli”, or simply relax and enjoy the view.

In the evening, we’ll return by motorboat to admire the Strombolicchio and round off the day beneath the Sciara del Fuoco, watching the spectacular eruptions that light up the night sky.

Finally, we’ll return to the starting point at around 10. 00 pm, after an experience lasting approximately 12 and a half hours.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The boat is not wheelchair accessible.

Other information

The activity takes place from April to October.

Depending on the number of participants, a motorboat measuring between 16 and 20 metres may be used, with a capacity of up to 130 people. All motorboats are equipped with comfortable seating, shaded areas, a bar and toilets.

Dogs are generally not permitted on board; any exceptions may be considered by the organisers, who can be contacted using the details provided in the booking confirmation email.

The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
