Discover the Pollino National Park with a mountain-bike tour in Laino Borgo, amid nature and history, in the company of local guides.
A pleasant and enjoyable 8 km tour to get to know new places and hunt for the most evocative views, starting from the forest and arriving in the town centre. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
The appointment is in Contrada San Primo in Laino Borgo, in the province of Cosenza. After meeting the guides and a briefing on the route, we will be handed our mountain bikes and be ready to set off.
The first stretch will take place inside a forest and then arrive at the 'quagmires', a rural area of great importance for the fertility of the soil. We will then leave the forest and arrive at the foot of Laino Castello, the old ghost town, a fascinating place nestled in the Pollino mountains.
We will then reach the historic centre of Laino Borgo and admire its narrow streets and stone portals, taking a plunge into the ancient history of this corner of Calabria. After a walk and a few souvenir photos, we will be ready to leave and return to base.
In total, the activity will last 2 hours for a route of 8 km, mostly flat.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone. The only requirement for participation is to be able to ride a bike and to beat least 145 cm tall.
Other information
This activity can be carried out from March to November and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.
It is possible to request an e-bike with pedal assistance at an extra cost of €20 (payable locally).
