Full description
If happiness had a taste, it would be that of alpine cheese enjoyed in the mountains.
A simple and authentic experience awaits you in the heart of Val Chisone: a gourmet picnic with typical Piedmontese products, surrounded by sunny meadows and larch woods at an altitude of 1,500 metres, at a mountain refuge .
You will receive a hand-woven wicker basket filled with local delicacies, ready to be enjoyed in the shade of the trees or lying in the sun. All that remains is for you to decide where to spread your picnic blanket!
What we will do
The meeting point is at the indicated point in Pramollo (TO). Once you have parked your car, to reach the hut where the picnic will take place, you can either walk along a 2.5 km dirt road (about 40 minutes, an easy route suitable for everyone), or request the 4x4 shuttle service available for small groups on payment.
On arrival at the hut, you will collect your picnic towel and wicker basket hand-woven by a local craftsman. In your basket you will find mixed Piedmontese hors d'oeuvres such as salami and cheese from the alpine pastures, vitello tonnato (veal with tuna sauce), anchovies in green sauce, onion fritters, cereal salads, homemade dessert and water. Separately, fruit juices or wines chosen from a selection of Piedmontese labels will be available for purchase.
To taste these goodies, you can sit on the sunny meadow in front of the refuge or in the shade of the larches, enjoying the silence among the mountains of Val Chisone, at an altitude of 1500 metres. If you wish, you can also ask the hut managers for advice on paths and treks in the area to continue your exploration.
The whole experience will be free, with picnic availability from 11.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for all ages. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The route to the hut and the surrounding area are not suitable for wheelchairs or people with mobility problems.
To reach the hut where the picnic takes place, it is necessary to be able to walk along a 2.5 km dirt road, along an easy route suitable for everyone. Alternatively, it is possible to request a transfer service for a fee (see specifications in 'Other information').
Other information
The experience runs from 1 May to 15 November, every Saturday and Sunday.
A picnic basket will be provided for every 2-4 people.
Vegetarian options and variants for food allergies and intolerances are available: please communicate your needs to the contacts indicated in your booking confirmation email.
Dogs are welcome.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport. To reach the hut from the meeting point, you can take a 2.5 km trek on a dirt road or opt for a paid 4x4 transfer service (10€ per person round trip or 5€ one way, max. 6 people at a time).

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
