Natural wine tasting and biodynamic farm tour in Lazise

What we will do

We will meet in Lazise (VR), at the time agreed at the time of booking.

We will be welcomed by Gianni, our guide and the beating heart of the La Pesenata farm. He will immediately take us on a guided tour of the farm, telling us about the differences between the various types of agriculture, particularly biodynamic agriculture, which is practised right here.

We will walk through the main vineyard, two and a half hectares in size, walking between the rows for about half an hour. Along the vineyard, Gianni will tell us how they manage the countryside and the vineyard, how they manage the various phases of cultivation and wine production using natural methods, and also show us the wild herbs that grow in the vineyard.

Once at the farm, we will meet the animals: among them, sheep, donkeys, ponies, chickens with colourful eggs, and even an apiary. We will visit the wine cellar, in front of which we will already find the table set for an open-air tasting.

The cellar is an 18th-century brick vaulted structure: here we will be shown the equipment used for wine production and will be explained the world of natural wine, produced without any invasive intervention.

We will then be seated for the tasting, which will include 4 natural biodynamic still wines IGT Verona, IGT Veneto and Chiaretto di Bardolino (2 white wines, 1 rosé and 1 red), from the lightest to the most structured, and a tasting of grappa and a platter of cold meats and cheeses, bread and dry baked goods.

The experience will last a total of approximately 2 and a half hours.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Wine tasting is reserved for adults only. There is a €10 fee for children aged 4 to 17 or people who do not drink wine, while children aged 0 to 3 do not pay.

The experience is also suitable for wheelchair users. It should be noted that the farmland may be uneven.

Other information

The activity is available from April to October, from Thursdays to Saturdays, and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.

At an extra cost of €20 per person to be paid on site (for a minimum of 4 people), it is possible to add to the tasting a glass of Metodo Classico bubbly, which stays in the bottle for 3 years before being tasted.

Participants with food allergies or intolerances may contact the organiser after the booking confirmation to communicate their needs.

Dogs on a leash are allowed.

The venue cannot be reached by public transport. Ample free parking is available on site.
