There’s a little corner of Finland where you’d least expect it, in the heart of the Lucanian Dolomites.
Enjoy a one-night stay in a geodesic dome in Accettura, to unwind amidst the woods and natural beauty of Basilicata.
You can relax in your own private Finnish hot tub and enjoy a delicious breakfast when you wake up. A truly hygge experience without having to catch a flight!
What we will do
Check-in is from 5. 00 pm (4. 00 pm from September to April) at the accommodation in Accettura (MT), set amongst the woods of the Gallipoli Cognato Regional Park and the Piccole Dolomiti Lucane.
On arrival, you will be welcomed by the staff and shown to your accommodation. You will step inside the beautiful Andromeda, a geodesic dome with a large panoramic window that allows you to admire the surrounding countryside without compromising on comfort.
Inside, you’ll find a double bed, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a wood-burning stove, armchairs and a coffee table, a kettle and coffee machine, a mini-fridge, a bathroom with a shower, washbasin, bidet and toilet, towels and bed linen, a complimentary toiletries kit and a hairdryer. The entire property is completely self-sufficient, designed for the responsible and mindful use of resources.
Outside the dome, you’ll find the highlight of this experience: an open-air Finnish hot tub heated by a wood-burning stove, where you can enjoy a hot soak surrounded by the tranquillity of nature.
During the day, you can explore the hiking trails of the Lucanian Dolomites Park at your own pace, or experience the adrenaline rush of the nearby ‘Volo dell’Angelo’ zipline . The organisers can also help you arrange horse riding, quad bike or Vespa tours. Additional activities are not included: for information on costs, please contact the accommodation provider once your booking has been confirmed.
For breakfast, you’ll find a picnic basket in the dome containing sweet and savoury croissants, fruit juices and coffee, to be savoured at your leisure whilst taking in the magnificent surrounding views.

The dome is designed to accommodate a maximum of two adults.
The accommodation is not wheelchair accessible.

The experience is available all year round. Check-in is from 5. 00 pm during the summer and from 4. 00 pm from 1 October to the end of April. Check-out is by 11. 00 during the summer and by 10. 00 from 1 October to the end of April.
If you have any food allergies and/or intolerances, please contact the organiser using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation email to let them know.
For dinner on site (not included) , the hosts will provide you with menus from a selection of local restaurants, offering options such as pizza or platters of cold cuts and cheese. The cost varies depending on the dishes chosen, plus a €15 delivery charge.
Dogs are allowed at no extra charge.
The property is not easily accessible by public transport; free on-site parking is available. To reach the property, you will need to walk along a 200-metre stretch of unpaved road.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is last minute. You get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
