We always knew Sardinia was a paradise on earth, but now we have confirmation!
Spend the night in an unusual accommodation in Costa Rei, a glamping tent set in the garden of a historic villa, named Shangri-La after its first owner.
Get ready to reconnect with nature and experience a sustainable and different stay, just a stone's throw from some of Sardinia's most beautiful seaside resorts !
What we will do
Check-in is at 6 p.m. at the property in Costa Rei, a hamlet of Muravera (SU). On arrival, you will be welcomed by the owners and escorted to your glamping tent, set up in the large garden of a historic villa.
The tent, made of natural cotton, has a diameter of 5 metres, a parquet floor and is located on a raised wooden platform. Inside you will find a comfortable double bed with drawers for storing clothes and bedside tables. For families with children, up to two single beds (inflatable mattresses) can be added.
The interior is environmentally friendly and functional, with electricity connections powered by solar panels. The accommodation is equipped with mosquito nets to ensure maximum comfort and privacy. Outside, theterrace with a shaded area and table allows you to enjoy meals, read a book or simply enjoy the view. Toilets are located in the garden, a few metres away from the tent.
During your stay, you will be able to discover the fascinating history of this dwelling, named Shangri-La after its first owner: a young Belgian born in China who arrived in Costa Rei in the 1970s and found there the earthly paradise he was looking for. You can also admire and cuddle the animals that live in the facility, such as dogs, cats, chickens and turtles.
You can enjoy various outdoor activities in the area, such as hiking, cycling in the Sette Fratelli Park and snorkelling at Capo Ferrato. The beaches of Costa Rei are also within walking or cycling distance.
If you wish, you can add a breakfast of local, km 0 products (€8 per person, not included), to be requested after booking confirmation.
Check-out is by 10:00 the following morning.

The bathroom is located about 6 metres from the tent, in the garden, and is equipped with a compost toilet, an outdoor solar shower with hot water, a sink and a hand shower. Bed linen, towels and biodegradable soaps are provided.
Breakfast is not included and can be requested at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail (€8 per person, payable locally). Please also inform us of any food allergies and/or intolerances.
Dogs are not allowed, as other animals live in the facility.
The facility can be reached by public transport and has free parking.

If you have made a fixed-date booking and the weather conditions are not suitable for safely carrying out the activity (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be fully refunded. The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
