Sleeping under the stars, with the scent of vineyards and the quiet of a hazel grove all around?
In the StarsBOX, the roof opens up and the sky becomes your own private spectacle. The whirlpool bath invites you to forget everything else, while in the morning a breakfast of local products awaits you, overlooking the gentle hills of the Roero, a UNESCO heritage site.
A small corner of peace, far from everything but close to the stars!
What we will do
Check-in is scheduled from 3 p.m. at San Matteo, in the province of Asti. On arrival, you will be welcomed by the staff and escorted to your StarsBOX, a small refuge surrounded by greenery, with a privileged view of the Roero hills and the village of Cisterna d'Asti.
When booking, you can choose between 2 different StarsBOXes:
- StarsBOX hazel grove: hidden among the scents and quiet of a hazel grove, it offers a private hydro-massage bath, ideal for enjoying moments of pure relaxation immersed in the most silent nature.
- Vineyard StarsBOX: surrounded by the rows of a vineyard, this option is located a few steps from the B&B and includes a characteristic illuminated corner with a small barrel-shaped table, perfect for a toast with a view of the hills.
Both have a bathroom, located a few steps away from the StarsBOX.
In the afternoon, if you wish, you can add a winery visit or wine tasting to the experience (not included). And when the sun begins to set, you will open the roof to admire the starry sky and be enveloped in the quiet of the countryside. Chatter, laughter and the silence of nature will accompany you until you fall asleep under the stars.
When you wake up, you will find a breakfast (included) with local products waiting for you: cold meats, homemade jams, biscuits, tarts, hazelnut cakes and other delicacies. You can choose to have it in the breakfast room of the neighbouring B&B or, on request, directly in your private corner.
Check-out is by 11 a. m. the following morning.
Who it is aimed at
The StarsBOX is designed to accommodate a maximum of 2 adults.
The facility is not wheelchair-accessible.
Other information
The experience is available from April to the end of October. Check-in is from 3 p.m. onwards.
Both rooms have an external bathroom, located a few steps away. There is no shower.
If you have any food allergies and/or intolerances, please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to inform them.
Small dogs are allowed.
The hotel is not easily accessible by public transport; free parking is available on site.

If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
