Night in a Tipì tent on the hills of Reggio Emilia

There is a place in the hills of Reggio Emilia where time seems to stand still.

Here, in Albinea, you can spend a night in a Tipì tent overlooking a lavender field, wake up to birdsong and a genuine breakfast prepared just for you.

Relax in the panoramic tub, explore the Reggio Emilia area among ancient castles and giant benches, or simply breathe in the scent of summer. Your disconnection from the world begins!

What we will do

Check-in is from 14:00 onwards at the facility in Albinea (RE).

On arrival, you will be welcomed by the staff and taken to your Tipì tent. You will be given all the information you need for your experience: how to use the tent, the rules of the stay and what to do in the surrounding area.

Tipì is located in a panoramic position overlooking a lavender field, surrounded by the tranquillity of an agricultural campsite. The accommodation has a double futon, interior lighting, a full-door mosquito net and a waterproof cover. Toilet facilities are located a few metres away and organic sheets, towels and toiletries are provided. During your stay you will have access to a vintage caravan, where you can store your luggage, change, charge your phones and have breakfast.

In the warmer months you can cool off in the panoramic tub, for a rejuvenating experience in the midst of nature. To complete your stay, there are many itineraries to explore in the surrounding area: from the paths through the hills of Reggio Emilia to the giant benches and the majestic Pietra di Bismantova, a popular destination for hikers and climbers.

History enthusiasts can visit the Matildic castles of Canossa and Carpineti, while those in search of spirituality can discover the House of Tibet in Votigno. There is no shortage of wine cellars, vinegar cellars and inns where you can sample the authentic flavours of the territory.

For the evening, you can choose to book an apericena at the hostel (not included, 25€ per person) with typical local products. Alternatively, the hosts will be happy to recommend restaurants, trattorias and pizzerias in the area, also with active agreements.

You will then enjoy the magic of the starry night from your Tipì and fall asleep lulled by the rustling of the forest. The next morning, starting at 7:00 a.m., a self-service breakfast awaits you in the caravan: croissants, coffee, milk and juices will greet you simply and tastefully.

Check-out is by 11:00 am.

Who it is aimed at

The Tipì tent is designed to accommodate a maximum of 2 adults.

It is not accessible for wheelchairs or persons with reduced mobility.

The stay is bookable from April to October.

The accommodation has an external bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin for exclusive use, a few metres from the tent. Outside the private bathroom is another washbasin with mirror, shared with the guests of the camp site.

The flowering of the lavender can be seen from mid-May to around mid-July; to admire the spectacle at its peak, we recommend booking in June.Use of the outdoor tub is available from the month of May or when temperatures permit.

If you have food allergies and/or intolerances, please contact the organiser using the contact details in the confirmation e-mail to report them. Vegetarian and vegan alternatives are also available.

An apericena can be requested on site at a cost of €25 per person (excluding wine), with typical Reggio products such as erbazzone, tortelli, cold cuts, cheese and dessert.

Dogs are not allowed.

The facility cannot be reached by public transport. Free parking is available on site.
