Night in a tree house in the Madonie Park

Who said that only children can fulfil the dream of sleeping in a tree house?

In the picturesque scenery of the Madonie Park, in the province of Palermo, you can stay in a real tree house, equipped with every comfort and surrounded by greenery.

In addition, you can have fun trying all the outdoor activities provided by the park's instructors and enjoy a delicious breakfast of sweet and savoury dishes. Get ready for a night to remember!

What we will do

Check-in is from 3. 00 pm at a campsite within the Madonie Park in Petralia Sottana (PA).

You will be welcomed by the staff and shown to your treehouse, which is situated a few metres above the ground. The staff will explain all the facilities available to you during your stay, including a private bathroom with shower, a panoramic terrace, a mini-fridge, air conditioning, communal areas with power sockets, Wi-Fi, fully equipped picnic areas, a barbecue area and a snack bar.

Once you’ve settled your luggage in the treehouse, you can have a look around. The area is well worth exploring for the variety of plant species that characterise it and which have earned it the status of a UNESCO Geopark. As well as the beautiful landscapes, the park also offers the chance to try your hand at a range of outdoor activities such as treetop adventure courses, climbing, orienteering, archery and PowerFan. If you’d like, you can try them all (included in the package) with the instructors who’ll be on hand to welcome you.

Come evening, you can enjoy the wonderful tranquillity that surrounds you and admire the starry sky whilst relaxing on the panoramic terrace of your treehouse. It will be a delightful moment, allowing you to connect with nature and create precious memories.

Finally, in the morning, a delicious buffet breakfast (included) will be waiting for you, featuring sweet and savoury options to suit all tastes: croissants, cakes, biscuits, yoghurt, cold meats and cheeses.

Check-out is by 10. 00 am.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children under the age of 18 may participate if accompanied by a responsible adult. Children aged 0 to 3 years participate free of charge: to indicate their presence, please contact the organisers at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email.

The Terrace on the Lake accommodation is accessible to wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility, while the Rifugio nel Bosco accommodation is not.

Other information

Accommodation is available from March to December and a minimum of two adult guests is required. Check-in is from 3. 00 pm. Check-out is by 10. 00 am.

When booking, you can choose between:

• The ‘Rifugio nel Bosco’ treehouse ( maximum 5 guests) . Accessible via an external staircase with handrails and balustrades.
• The ‘Terrazza sul Lago’ treehouse (maximum 4 guests) . Accessible via an external walkway.

Both tree houses are raised above ground level and accessible via stairs or walkways. They are equipped with a private bathroom with shower, a bedroom, a panoramic terrace, towels and bed linen, a mini-fridge, air conditioning and Wi-Fi. They do not have a kitchen. A cot is available on request.

Dogs are permitted subject to payment of a €35 supplement on site.

The campsite features a reception, communal areas with power sockets, equipped picnic areas, a barbecue area, and a snack bar open from 8. 30 am to 9. 30 pm. Guests may organise their own meals but are not permitted to eat inside the tree houses. Furthermore, on request, you can order a mixed roast meat platter at a cost of €20 per person, or a fast-food meal at €9 per person, payable directly on site.

Free, unstaffed car parks are available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
