Full description
Have you ever slept under the dome of a real yurt?
In Arcugnano, in the province of Vicenza, you can spend a night in a traditional tent with a relaxed atmosphere, warmed by a wood-burning stove and surrounded by the natural beauty of the Berici Hills.
An adventure that supports an environmental conservation project, with outdoor activities (additional charges apply) such as bee-keeping workshops, guided walks and falconry.
What we will do
Check-in is from 12: 00 in Arcugnano, in the province of Vicenza. On arrival, you will be welcomed by our staff and shown to your accommodation.
You will be provided with a spacious, circular yurt measuring 40 square metres with a diameter of 7 metres. The yurt features a wooden floor, large panoramic windows and is heated by a central wood-burning stove. Accommodation for the night includes 1 double bed, 1 queen-size bed and up to 8 single beds.
During the day, you are free to explore 2 hectares of unspoilt countryside or take part in the additional activities organised in collaboration with the social promotion association. These include falconry experiences, guided walks, treasure hunts and workshops to discover the world of bees.
For meals, there is a second 40-square-metre marquee serving as a communal kitchen, equipped with a hob with a gas cylinder, crockery, glasses and coffee pots so you can prepare breakfast and dinner entirely independently. As there is no running water, you will find 20- and 30-litre jerrycans with taps ready for cooking and personal hygiene.
In the evening, you can gather round the stove’s fire, immersed in complete tranquillity, before retiring to sleep in the silence of the valley.
Check-out is by 12: 00 noon the following day.
Who it is aimed at
The yurt can accommodate up to 12 people of any age; however, there are no cots.
The accommodation is not wheelchair accessible.
