Night in a yurt in the Parma Apennines with dinner

You won’t get there by riding across the Mongolian steppes, but the magic is much the same!

Spend a night in a yurt in the Parma Apennines, in a cosy tent brought directly from Mongolia and set up in this natural setting just a few kilometres from Borgo Val di Taro.

The package includes breakfast, dinner featuring locally sourced produce, an outdoor swimming pool and the chance to go on excursions to the nearby Ghirardi WWF Nature Reserve. Get ready to reconnect with nature in its wildest form!

What we will do

Check-in is from 3. 30 pm to 7. 30 pm at the accommodation, located a few kilometres from Borgo Val di Taro (PR). On arrival, you will be welcomed by the staff and shown to your accommodation.

Each yurt has been shipped directly from Mongolia, is hand-assembled and is furnished in a simple yet tasteful style; it features air conditioning, heating, free Wi-Fi , lighting, electrical sockets and bed linen. Each yurt stands on a wooden platform that lifts it off the ground and has an outdoor bathroom for your exclusive use.

In the booking form, you can select your preferred yurt:

• Mint Yurt: 25 square metres, sleeps up to 3 people, with a double bed and a single bed.
• Lavender Yurt: 30 m² for up to 4 people, with a double bed and two single beds.
• Plum Yurt: 30 m² for up to 4 people, with a double bed and two single beds.
• Cherry Yurt: 36 m² for up to 5 people, with one double bed and three single beds. Inside, there is also a cot with safety rails for younger children.

During your stay, you can relax in the hammock area, make the most of the geodesic dome to recharge your batteries, or cool off with a dip in the swimming pool (unheated, open from June to September) . The surrounding area offers adventures to suit all tastes:self-guided or guided excursions to the WWF Ghirardi Nature Reserve , horse riding, e-bike hire, yoga or shiatsu sessions, and swimming in the nearby River Taro. In the evening, you can enjoy dinner (included) at the property’s restaurant, with a set menu comprising a starter/aperitif, first course, main course, side dish and dessert; drinks are not included. Most of the produce you’ll enjoy is natural, grown and reared directly on site, with a focus on seasonal produce and the traditional flavours of the Emilia region.

In the morning, an Italian breakfast awaits you, featuring milk, coffee, tea and herbal teas, homemade juices and jams, home-baked bread and cakes, yoghurt, honey and fruit from the farm.

Check-out is by 10. 30 am.

Who it is aimed at

The yurts can accommodate between 2 and 5 people.

Children up to the age of 3 stay free of charge. For dinner, children aged 3 to 5 are entitled to a 50 per cent discount, and children aged 6 to 12 to a 20 per cent discount: please contact us to book the rate reserved for them.

The property is not fully wheelchair accessible: there is an accessible toilet, but access to the yurts is only possible with small or foldable wheelchairs. Furthermore, the surrounding ground is unpaved and uneven.

Please note! For bookings with check-in during bank holidays, in the week of Ferragosto and the week preceding it, the rate is based on a 2-night stay including 2 dinners.

Each yurt has a private outdoor bathroom, located within a heated building no more than 30 metres away. The bathrooms are equipped with a toilet, washbasin and shower. Toiletries are not provided; there are two hairdryers available for guests in the communal area.

Dogs are allowed free of charge.

The property is not easily accessible by public transport. Free on-site parking is available. The final kilometre is along a dirt track.
