Close your eyes in Emilia and open them again in the boundless Asian steppes. Or so it seems.
Spend a night in a yurt in the Parma Apennines, in a cosy tent brought straight from Mongolia and set up in this unspoilt spot just a few kilometres from Borgo Val di Taro.
A stay including breakfast, an outdoor swimming pool and the chance to explore the nearby Ghirardi WWF Nature Reserve. For true nature lovers!
What we will do
Check-in is from 3. 30 pm to 7. 30 pm at the accommodation, a few kilometres from Borgo Val di Taro (PR). On arrival, you will be welcomed by the staff and shown to your accommodation.
Each yurt has been shipped directly from Mongolia, is hand-assembled and is furnished in a simple yet tasteful style; it features air conditioning, heating, free Wi-Fi , lighting, electrical sockets and bed linen. Each yurt stands on a wooden platform that lifts it off the ground and has an external bathroom for your exclusive use.
In the booking form, you can select your preferred yurt:
- Menta Yurt: 25 square metres, sleeps up to 3 people, with a double bed and a single bed.
- Lavanda Yurt: 30 square metres, sleeps up to 4 people, with one double bed and two single beds.
- Susina Yurt: 30 m² for up to 4 people, with one double bed and two single beds.
- Ciliegia Yurt: 36 square metres, sleeps up to 5 people, with one double bed and three single beds. It also features a cot with safety rails for younger children.
During your stay, you can relax in the hammock area, make the most of the geodesic dome to recharge your batteries, or cool off with a dip in the swimming pool (unheated, open from June to September) . The surrounding area offers adventures to suit all tastes: independent or guided excursions to the Ghirardi WWF Nature Reserve , horse riding, e-bike hire, yoga or shiatsu sessions, and swimming in the nearby River Taro. In the morning, an Italian breakfast awaits you, featuring milk, coffee, tea and herbal teas, homemade juices and jams, home-baked bread and cakes, yoghurt, honey and fruit from the estate.
Check-out is by 10. 30 am.
Who it is aimed at
The yurts can accommodate between 2 and 5 people.
Children aged 3 and under stay free of charge.
The property is not fully wheelchair accessible: there is a disabled toilet, but access to the yurts is only possible with small or folding wheelchairs. Furthermore, the surrounding ground is unpaved and uneven.

This experience is available from March to 1 November.
Please note! For bookings with check-in during long weekends, during the week of Ferragosto and the week preceding it, the rate is based on a 2-night stay.
Each yurt has a private outdoor bathroom, situated within a heated building no more than 30 metres away. The bathrooms are equipped with a toilet, washbasin and shower. Toiletries are not provided; there are two hairdryers available for guests in the communal area.
The property has a restaurant; you can dine on site with a set menu at a cost of €28 per person. If you have any food allergies and/or intolerances, please contact the organiser using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation email to let them know. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options are available on request.
Dogs are allowed free of charge.
The property is not easily accessible by public transport. Free parking is available on site. The final kilometre consists of a dirt track.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
