Full description
Visit the two jewels of eastern Sicily, Mount Etna and the beautiful Taormina, on a 4WD tour from Catania.
You will start by visiting Mount Etna Park, after which you will head to Taormina and end the day with a short stop at Isola Bella.
During the experience you will enjoy a light lunch with typical Sicilian products. It will be a unique day in which you will admire landscapes that are completely different, but wonderful all the same.
What we will do
The appointment is set for 8. 30 a. m. in Catania.
On board off-road vehicles, we will first head towards the Etna Park, which encompasses an extraordinary landscape surrounding Europe's highest active volcano. We will drive along dirt tracks in jeeps and penetrate into the woods. Meanwhile, the guide will tell us many interesting facts about volcanic activity and the surrounding environment.
Around lunchtime, we will stop at a local restaurant, where we will be treated to a delicious light lunch (included) , which will include a typical starter, a main dish (usually a 'Siciliana' - a fried and stuffed calzone) , a sweet, a coffee and a soft drink each.
Afterwards we will re-board the jeeps and head towards Taormina. Here we will have free time to visit the citadel and its most important monuments along the main street, where there are also numerous shops and craft workshops.
We will then head towards Isola Bella, which is considered the 'Pearl of the Ionian Sea' and is connected to the mainland by a thin tongue of sand. Here we will be able to stop and take lots of photos, before returning to the off-road vehicles to return to Catania.
The total duration of the excursion is 8 hours.

The excursion is suitable for everyone without age limits.
Children up to 2 years of age pay €27 and the fee includes a car seat: contact us to book the rate reserved for them.
Other information
The excursion takes place all year round, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.
A light lunch will be offered during the excursion. To request a vegetarian menu, please contact the organisers at the contact details on your booking confirmation email. Vegan or gluten-free options are not available.
It is not possible to participate in the excursion wearing heels, sandals, flip-flops. It is not possible to take suitcases or trolleys on board the jeeps.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
