Full description
Visit the two jewels of eastern Sicily, MountEtna and the beautiful Taormina, on a 4WD tour from Catania.
You will start by visiting Mount Etna Park, then head to Taormina and end the day with a short stop atIsola Bella.
During the experience you will enjoy a tasting of typical Sicilian products. It will be a unique day in which you will admire landscapes that are completely different, but equally wonderful.
What we will do
The appointment is set for 8.30 a.m. in Catania.
On board off-road vehicles, we will first head towards the Etna Park, which encompasses an extraordinary landscape surrounding Europe's highest active volcano. We will drive along dirt tracks in jeeps and penetrate into the woods. Meanwhile, the guide will tell us many interesting facts about volcanic activity and the surrounding environment.
Around lunchtime we will stop at afarm in Zafferana Etnea, where a tasting of typical Sicilian products and local wines (included) will await us.
Afterwards we will re-board the jeeps and head towards Taormina. Here we will have free time to visit the citadel and its most important monuments along the main street, where there are also numerous shops and craft workshops.
We will then head towardsIsola Bella, which is considered the 'Pearl of the Ionian Sea' and is connected to the mainland by a thin tongue of sand. Here we will be able to stop and take lots of photos, before returning to the off-road vehicles to return to Catania.
The total duration of the excursion is 8 hours.

The excursion takes place all year round and is confirmed when there are at least 4 participants.
Should you wish to book for a group of 6 or more, you can contact us in private and inform us of your wish to take the tour on a different day.
Children from 0 to 2 years old pay the reduced rate of €27, which also includes a car seat. To add this fee to your booking request, please contact us in private.
It is not possible to participate in the excursion with heels, sandals, flip-flops. It is not possible to take suitcases or trolleys on board the jeeps.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
