Daily boat tour to Tavolara and Capo Coda Cavallo

Now is your chance to find out. Join our boat tour and spend an unforgettable day sailing in the Gulf of Capo Coda Cavallo. An experienced skipper will reveal the secrets of the gulf, amidst local legends and stories, taking you on a discovery of Tavolara and the Natural Pools of Molara.

And it doesn't end here: a rich and tasty 'sea and mountains' aperitif will be waiting for you, from seafood hors d'oeuvres to Sardinian cold meats, cheeses, and desserts, and to end on a high note, a glass of myrtle.

What we will do

We will meet at 8.30 a.m. in Porto Ottiolu (SS), where the skipper will be waiting for us on board the boat. After taking our places on board, we will set sail and head straight for theisland of Proratora. Here we will make our first bathing stop in an inlet characterised by a suggestive sea cave, into which it is possible to enter with the boat.

We will then continue sailing towards the island of Molara and its natural pools. We will stop again for a dip in the clear water of the pools, whose turquoise colour is made even more intense by the white seabed.

Back on board, we will resume sailing along the coast with its coves and sheer cliffs. Our destination is the island ofTavolara, where we will moor to explore the islet by land.

Afterwards, we will move on to one of the most unique coves on the island: the Spiaggia degli Scogli Piatti, also known as 'Cala delle Farfalle'. Here we will make another swimming stop to dive into the transparent waters and take a shot with the famous turtle-shaped rock.

In the middle of the day, we will enjoy an aperitif on board with a seafood appetiser and a platter of cold meats and cheeses to be enjoyed with jams, honey, olives and cherry tomatoes, all accompanied by water, wine and soft drinks. The aperitif is rich and can replace lunch. We will then finish with typical Sardinian sweets and a selection of liqueurs (limoncello, myrtle and aquavit).

In the afternoon, we can better explore Capo Coda Cavallo and Cala Brandinchi, or we can get closer to Golfo Aranci to spot, with a bit of luck, friendly dolphins.

We will be back in Porto Ottiolu by 18.30, for a total duration of about 10 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The tour is suitable for everyone, with no age limit.

The boat is accessible to people with motor disabilities. However, there are no devices on board to facilitate getting into the water during bathing stops.

Other information

The excursion takes place from March to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 10 participants.

The boat is 8.80 metres long and 3 metres wide and is licensed for 27 people. The staff, however, has chosen to allow a maximum of 12 passengers in order to ensure greater comfort during the tour. It is equipped with every comfort, including seats with cushions, side rails with grab rails, an aft lounge, awnings both fore and aft, a toilet in a separate room, showers, double ladders aft and a stereo system.

Dogs are not allowed on board.
