Are you in Calabria on holiday and leaving without visiting Scilla? You can't go home without seeing this seaside village perched on a rock, whose waters take on a very special purple colour.
With our rubber dinghy tour, you'll enjoy the beauty of Scilla in just one day. And you won't just see it from the sea, because you'll go ashore walking through its narrow streets and alleyways.
And it doesn't end there: you will dive not once, but twice into the clear waters of the Costa Viola. And, to end on a high note, you will return by sailing along the beautiful Costa degli Dei. Don't miss this unforgettable experience, we are waiting for you!
What we will do
Departure is at 9 a.m. at the port of Ricadi (VV), where the crew will be waiting for us (it is necessary to arrive 30 minutes in advance). After settling on board the spacious 9-metre dinghy, we will set off in the direction of Scilla.
We will sail for about an hour before reaching Chianalea, the oldest part of Scilla, also known as 'the little Venice of the South'. Once there, we will go ashore and wander through the narrow streets of the picturesque fishermen's quarter.
During the 4-hour shore break, we will be able to visit the seaside village dominated by the Ruffo di Calabria Castle on our own. We can, for example, go down to the seafront and have a swim and a picnic lunch, or lose ourselves in the narrow streets and stop for lunch in one of the many local restaurants (lunch not included).
We will re-board around 14:00 and start our navigation along the Costa Viola towards Bagnara Calabra. We will also stop at two small coves between Bagnara and Palmi, where we can dive in and enjoy some refreshing swim breaks.
The last leg of the trip features another coastline, equally beautiful and fascinating: the Costa degli Dei. The tour lasts about 8 hours in total and ends with the return to the port of departure.
Who it is aimed at
The tour is open to everyone, with no age limit. Children aged between 0 and 2 years participate free of charge.
The tour is accessible to persons with mobility disabilities. Contact the organiser at the contact details you will receive by e-mail with your booking confirmation.
Other information
The activity takes place from May to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
Pleasenote: arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time of the activity.
You will be on board a 9-metre rubber dinghy equipped with awning, cushions and comfortable seats, approved for 23 people (but to be more comfortable, a maximum of 15 people will board).
During the tour it will be possible to book a guided shore tour of Scilla at an extra cost of €15 per person (optional, to be paid on site).
The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
