Private boat trip to Tavolara and Capo Coda Cavallo

What we will do

The meeting is at 8.30 a.m. in Porto Ottiolu (SS), where the skipper will be waiting for us. Once settled on board, we will be ready to cast off our moorings and set sail.

The first stop is theisland of Proratora, where we will have a swim stop of about 30/40 minutes. Since this is a private tour, the stops and their duration will be agreed with the skipper according to the group's preferences.

We will then head to the Molara Natural Pools. We will stop again for a dip in the clear water of the pools, whose turquoise colour is made even more intense by the white seabed. Back on board, we will resume sailing along the coast with its coves and sheer cliffs.

Our next destination is the islandof Tavolara, where we will moor to explore the islet by land and move on to one of the island's most unusual coves: the Spiaggia degli Scogli Piatti, also known as 'Cala delle Farfalle'. Here we will make another swimming stop to dive into the transparent waters and take a shot with the famous turtle-shaped rock.

In the middle of the day, we will enjoy a rich aperitif on board with a seafood appetiser and a platter of cold meats and cheeses to be enjoyed with jams, honey, olives and cherry tomatoes, all accompanied by water, wine and soft drinks. The aperitif is plentiful and can replace lunch. We will then finish with typical Sardinian sweets and a selection of liqueurs (limoncello, myrtle and aquavit).

In the afternoon, we can better explore Capo Coda Cavallo and Cala Brandinchi, or we can get closer to Golfo Aranci to spot, with a bit of luck, friendly dolphins. We will be back in Porto Ottiolu by 18.30, for a total duration of about 10 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The tour is suitable for everyone, with no age limit.

The boat is accessible to people with motor disabilities. However, there are no devices on board to facilitate getting into the water during bathing stops.

Other information

The excursion is held from March to October.

The boat is 8.80 metres long and 3 metreswide and is licensed for 27 people. The staff, however, chose to allow a maximum of 12 passengers in order to ensure greater comfort during the tour. It is equipped with every comfort, including seats with cushions, side rails with grab bars, a stern lounge, awnings both fore and aft, a toilet in a separate room, showers, double ladders aft and a stereo system.

Important: in agreement with the skipper, you have the freedom to customise the stops and their duration. If you wish to change the itinerary, petrol surcharges calculated according to consumption will be applied.

Dogs are allowed on board.
