Full description
Fantasia, Nedda, Selene, Velata and Dida: these are the names of the women protagonists of Sicilian literature, chosen by Baglio DiAr for its labels. It could not be otherwise for this historic winery owned by the Di Girolamo family, located in the heart of Marsala.
In the company of a dedicated guide, you will visit the winery and learn more about the production of certified organic wine. This will be followed by a tasting of 3 to 5 glasses (to be chosen at the time of booking): the perfect culmination of this all-Sicilian experience!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at Baglio DiAr in Marsala (TP). We will meet at the point of sale, where a member of thewinery will welcome us.
Once all the participants have gathered, we will head for the winery: here we will discover the production of the company's organic wines , from the harvesting of the grapes to their processing, walking through the steel and barrique ageing rooms. It will not be possible to visit the vineyards, as they are located between Trapani and Mazara del Vallo; situated at different altitudes, they are characterised by a medium-textured soil treated exclusively with copper and sulphur.
We will then reach the room where the tasting will take place: here we will watch a film on the history of the winery, with a presentation of its labels . Baglio DiAr cultivates native grape varieties such as Grillo, Inzolia, Catarratto, Zibibibbo, Nero d'Avola and Perricone. Equally characteristic are the names of the wines, inspired by women protagonists of Sicilian literature: Fantasia, Nedda, Selene, Velata and Dida.
The tasting consists of 3 to 5 glasses of organic wines, accompanied by water and taralli:
- Fantasia Organic White Zibibbo IGP Terre Siciliane
- Nedda Organic Nero d'Avola Rosso DOC Sicilia
- Selene Grillo White organic DOC Sicilia
- Dida Cataratto Organic White IGP Terre Siciliane (only in the tasting of 5 glasses)
- Velata Organic red Perricone IGP Terre Siciliane (only in the tasting of 5 glasses)
Each glass will be accurately described by the person in charge of the tasting: vintages, organoleptic notes and characteristics. All wines from certified organic viticulture for over 20 years!
The duration of the 3-wine tasting is estimated at about 45 minutes, the 5-wine tasting at about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. Minors can take part in the experience free of charge: please contact the winery at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to report the presence of minors and request the availability of non-alcoholic drinks.
The point of sale where the tasting takes place is wheelchair-accessible, while the winery is not.

The experience takes place from January to December.
A non-private car park is available nearby. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
