Full description
Experience the thrill of flying like a bird carried by the wind on a paraglider in the skies above Messina.
Aboard an off-road vehicle, you will go to one of the take-off areas on the Messina coast between Gioiosa Marea and Taormina. You will fly for about 20 minutes in tandem with a professional pilot, enjoying the spectacular view of the coastline and the Tyrrhenian Sea.

What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time in Gioiosa Marea, in the province of Messina. The pilot will be waiting for us here, with whom we will live the exciting experience of paragliding.
We will leave by off-road vehicle to reach the take-off point in Gioiosa Marea or near other towns on the Messina coast, such as Taormina, Pollina, or Letojanni (the choice of the area from which to take off will depend on the winds of the day).
Once we reach the take-off area, the pilot will hold a briefing to explain how the paraglider works and give us some information on the various phases of the flight. Afterwards, we will prepare for take-off by putting on our harness and helmet and take a few steps with the pilot to take flight.
Thiswill not be a jump into the void: no overhangs or great heights. Paragliding requires a mountain with little significant drop from which to take a small run-up. Once in the air, we will experience a mix of unique sensations of lightness and absolute freedom!
We will remain in the air for about 20 minutes, during which we can enjoy the spectacular panorama beneath our feet. Finally, we will land gently near the meeting point. The experience has a total duration of 2 hours and may vary depending on the take-off point chosen.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at everyone from 7 years old and up. No specific experience or expertise is required, you just need to be able to do a small run-up and weigh between 25 kg and 110 kg.
Other information
Flights take place all year round, weather permitting.
Important: paragliding is an activity that is closely linked to weather and wind conditions. The day before the planned date, after carefully evaluating the forecast, the pilot will send you confirmation on WhatsApp about the feasibility of the flight, the time and the location.
The experience has a minimum duration of 2 hours, but could be longer depending on the take-off point chosen.
When booking you can also choose to purchase the HD video of the experience made by the pilot with 2 video cameras and then edited with the best images, visual effects and music.
A shuttle service to your hotel/accommodation is available at an extra cost of €20 per person. If interested, please ask the pilot directly (you will receive his contact details after the booking confirmation).

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
