Experience a real adventure withHike&Fly over the Madonie Park in northern Sicily. Combine outdoor sports and free paragliding flight for a truly unique experience.
From Castelbuono, in the province of Palermo, you will board a jeep and then walk to the take-off point at an altitude of 1600 metres. The panorama will be incredible: your view will range from the Aeolian Islands to Mount Etna.
Moreover, you will fly in complete safety in the company of a world champion paraglider with 20 years of experience and 2 victories at the Italian championships.
What we will do
The meeting with the pilot is in Castelbuono, in the province of Palermo. After the various introductions, we will move together to the take-off area in the Madonie Park, 1600 metres above sea level. We will drive up the mountain in a jeep and begin a trek of about 1 hour on a route with 400 metres of altitude difference.
Once we reach the take-off point, we will then have an exhaustive briefing on the activity, in which the pilot will give us all the necessary information on the various phases of paragliding and the safety rules to face the experience in the best possible way.
Afterwards, we will put on our equipment and prepare for take-off:firmly harnessed together with the pilot, we will only have to take a few steps to run up and, before we know it, we will be floating in the air!
Buoyed by the ascending wind currents, we will experience a feeling of absolute freedom. Thanks to the altitude reached, we will be able to enjoy a breathtaking panorama: our view will range from the Aeolian Islands to Mount Etna. After about 20 to 25 minutes of flight, we will land gently on the beach near the meeting point.
The total duration of the experience is about 3 hours and includes transfer to the take-off point, trekking, pre-flight briefing and paragliding flight.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone. No specific skills or physical training are required, you just need to be able to walk uphill and do a short run-up with the rider. The only limit is the weight, which must be between 20 and 120 kg.
Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 must present a written consent signed by their parents. If not presented, they will not be able to take part in the activity and will not be reimbursed.

Attention! Please arrive at the meeting point approximately 15 minutes before the agreed time.
Theactivity is bookable throughout the year, subject to weather and pilot availability.
Important: paragliding is an activity that is closely linked to weather and wind conditions . The day before the planned date, after carefully evaluating the forecast, the pilot will send you a confirmation of the flight feasibility, time and location.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
