Full description
If you think the border between Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta is just a line on a map, it's because you've never seen it like this.
In this approximately 15-minute paragliding flight, with a certified AeroClub d'Italia pilot, you will fly over Alpine valleys, sparkling rivers and the majestic peaks of the Serra d'Ivrea and Gran Paradiso.
And you will discover that the real border is not between two regions... but between earth and sky.
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point about 20 minutes from Ivrea (TO), where the pilot will welcome us. Together with him we will ascend by shuttle (included) to the take-off point at about 1000 metres altitude, a real natural balcony with a view of the surrounding area.
Upon arrival, the pilot will lead us through a detailed briefing explaining each step of the flight and the safety rules. Then we put on our harness and... ready, we fly!
All it takes is a short run-up with the pilot and we find ourselves suspended in the air, lulled by the rising currents. Below us, rivers and torrents outline the landscape and, all around us, the peaks of the Serra d'Ivrea and Gran Paradiso will frame us.
During the 15 to 20 minutes in the air, we will be able to enjoy a sense of total freedom: the silence broken only by the wind and the spectacle of unspoilt nature. And if we wish, we will be able to relive the moment thanks to the video souvenir made by the pilot with an HD action cam (optional and not included).
Thelanding will take place gently on grassland, followed by the return to the meeting point. In total, between preparation, flight and transfer, the experience will last about 1.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for everyone 12 years of age and older. Children under the age of 18 must present a written and signed parental consent in order to carry out the activity.
No specific skills or previous experience are required, as long as you are able to perform a gentle downhill run-up and have a body weight of between 40 and 100 kg.

Attention! Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start time of the activity.
This activity is available from March to October.
Depending on pilot availability, simultaneous flying for up to 2 people is possible. To request this, contact the pilot at the contact details you will receive by e-mail with your booking confirmation.
Important: the day before the activity, before 20:00, you will receive a communication from the pilot confirming the meeting time and address. In case of unfavourable weather conditions, the activity may be suspended or postponed, at the pilot's discretion.
It is possible to purchase the HD video of the experience at a cost of 20€ (to be paid on site). Request this after booking from the pilot (you will receive contact details by e-mail with the booking confirmation).

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
