Full description
One hour to awaken your senses: immerse yourself in a unique sensory journey , in which you will walk on salt crystals in open-air pools, come into contact with the mama caura, and enjoy the natural sounds of the salt pans.
It will be an experience of pure discovery, to be lived in an exceptional natural setting: the Salt Pans of Trapani!
What we will do
The meeting point is 15 minutes before the selected time at the Culcasi Salt Pans in Paceco (TP). Upon arrival, you will be accompanied to the check-in area near the Salt Museum.
After a brief introduction by the staff on the modalities of the experience, you will be given access to the area dedicated to the salt-pan route. You will be able to follow the sensory path independently, moving freely in the salt pool.
The route will take place in a dedicated area of the salt pans and offers various activities related to tradition and the natural environment, where water, salt and sea air create a unique and evocative context.
During the experience you will be able to
- Gain access to the brine pool (with water about 20 cm deep) , the most concentrated water in the salt marsh, a characteristic element of the salt production process
- Come into contact with the mother caura, i. e. the natural sediment of the salt pan, traditionally used during salt-related activities
- Walking barefoot on salt crystals, a sensory experience in direct contact with the raw material
At the end of the 1-hour experience, you can rinse off with a sea shower fed with seawater.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone regardless of age; minors must be accompanied by an adult during the tour.
The experience is not recommended in the presence of open wounds, skin irritations or known salt allergies.
The experience is not accessible to people in wheelchairs or with mobility problems.

The experience is available from June to September.
Important! The experience is for recreational, cultural, nature and experiential tourism purposes only. It does not constitute medical, therapeutic, aesthetic, cosmetic or spa treatment. Participation is voluntary, optional and takes place independently after a brief informative introduction by the staff.
Dogs are not allowed during the experience.
An outdoor shower is available on site to rinse off the salt. The use of shampoos, soaps and/or cleansing oils is not permitted.
Free parking spaces are available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
