The heat is coming and you can't stay in Rome.
The solution? A picnic among the vineyards or - why not - among the olive trees of Monte Compatri, to savour the Castelli Romani area in complete relaxation (and with a bottle of wine included, of course) .
An experience too good to miss!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at Casale Mattia, a winery not far from the capital, located in Monte Compatri (RM), where you will be welcomed by a member of staff.
On your arrival, you will be given a picnic basket for 2 persons which includes: a bottle of wine to choose from the winery's offerings, two sandwiches with cold cuts, savoury snacks, wine doughnuts, water and two glasses to toast!
You will then be escorted outside the farmhouse, where you can choose your spot among the vineyards or in the shade of the olive trees to enjoy your picnic in total comfort and relaxation, thanks also to the cushions provided by the structure.
Once seated, you can enjoy the air and the panorama of the Castelli Romani for a stay of about 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is designed for couples as the picnic basket is calculated for 2 people, but a larger number of baskets can be selected for larger groups.
The experience is suitable for everyone; wine is only served to participants over 18 years of age.
The facility is wheelchair and/or pushchair accessible.
Other information
The experience is available from March to October, weather permitting. In the event of bad weather, the experience will be postponed or can be held in an indoor tasting room.
A tour of the winery is available on request at an additional cost of €5. 00 per person to be paid on site.
Options are available for people with allergies and/or food intolerances and/or preferences: please contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to communicate any dietary requirements.
Dogs are allowed; there is a dedicated space on site where they can stay during the experience.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
