Let's face it: spreading a blanket among the rows of vines on Lake Garda has a whole other flavour, especially if the wine in your glass bears the name of a legend.
We invite you to Lazise, at Villa Meneghello, for an open-air picnic among vineyards and olive groves. Whether you choose to relax in the shade of an olive tree or in the heart of the vineyard, your only task will be to unwrap the delicacies from the basket and toast with your favourite 'legend'!
What we will do
We’ll meet at the time selected when booking at Villa Meneghello in Lazise, in the heart of the picturesque Lake Garda area. We’ll be welcomed by our guide, who’ll provide us with everything we need for our break in the countryside: a basket full of delicacies, a blanket and a handy little table.
We’ll choose the perfect spot to relax, strolling amongst the rows of vines or seeking tranquillity beneath the branches of the olive grove. Once we’ve found the ideal spot, we can open our basket – freshly prepared every morning – which includes a seasonal selection of local specialities.
To toast the day, we can choose one bottle of wine for every two people from three of the winery’s labels: the white Custoza, the red Bardolino or the rosé Chiaretto. The basket will also contain one bottle of water for every two people.
We’ll have the whole day to eat, chat and relax surrounded by greenery, until closing time at 6. 00 pm.
Who it is aimed at
This experience is recommended for those aged 18 and over. Children aged 0 to 3 can take part free of charge: please contact the venue using the details provided in your booking confirmation email to let them know they will be attending.
The wine tasting is reserved exclusively for adults. The children’s picnic basket includes a sandwich with cold cuts and/or cheese and a soft drink.
The venue is accessible to people with reduced mobility, with seating available in the flat areas adjacent to the wine cellar.
Other information
The experience takes place from April to October. In the event of bad weather, the picnic may be replaced by a guided tour of the winery with a wine tasting.
Options are available for people with food allergies and intolerances, including gluten-free products: please contact the venue using the details provided in the confirmation email to let them know your requirements well in advance.
Dogs are allowed throughout the premises.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is last minute. You get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
