Fancy swapping the usual indoor table for a lawn overlooking the lake and a basket full of excellent food?
In Trevignano Romano, at Cantine Capitani, the blue of Lake Bracciano merges with the green of the rows of vines to give you an unconventional afternoon. You won't have to think about anything: after visiting the winery, you will find a basket prepared especially for you full of local delicacies and everything you need to enjoy a perfect picnic!
Get ready to toast between the vineyards and the lake, in an atmosphere you will hardly forget.
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at Cantine Capitani in Trevignano Romano in the province of Rome, in the hills overlooking Lake Bracciano. We will be welcomed by our guide, who will accompany us on a walk through the rows of vines lasting about 15-20 minutes, where we will discover how the territory's labels are born in this particular volcanic soil.
Next, we will enter the heart of production with a visit to the cellar: in about 40-45 minutes, all the stages of vinification will be explained to us, from crushing to ageing. At the end of the tour, you will receive your basket already complete with everything you need: glasses, water, towels, plates and cutlery.
The banquet includes a selection of products such as bread, home-made olive oil, cold cuts, cheese and a cooked hot dish (such as lasagna or parmigiana) . To end on a sweet note, seasonal fruit or typical wine cakes, all accompanied by a bottle of your choice of white, red or sparkling wine (one for every 2 people) .
You can choose to sit on the lawn or on the tables provided. In the event of bad weather, the experience is guaranteed thanks to the indoor areas where you can enjoy your picnic in a sheltered environment.
The total duration of the experience will be about 2½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The wine tasting is reserved for adults only.
Any accompanying under-age persons may participate in the experience at a reduced cost; they will be offered a non-alcoholic alternative. For infants (1-2 years) the activity is free of charge.
The facility is wheelchair and pushchair accessible, with the exception of the vineyard.

The experience takes place all year round.

Dogs are allowed on a leash in most areas of the winery, excluding the processing areas.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
