Glider pilot for a day in the province of Pavia

If your dream at an early age was to become a pilot, you cannot miss this incredible opportunity! With this experience you can take the controls and float through the sky in the Grob G 103 Twin Astirglider , a light and silent aircraft without an engine.

Together with a qualified instructor, you will experience the thrill of becoming a pilot for a day and admire the panorama of the province of Pavia from an unprecedented perspective.

What we will do

We will meet 10 minutes before the time selected during the booking process in Rivanazzano (PV).

After meeting the pilot, we will have an introductory briefing on how the glider works and how to use the instruments on board. We will be shown how to pilot this particular aircraft without an engine, which uses the updrafts to float free in the sky.

We will be ready to climb into the two-seater glider equipped with dual controls and fasten our seatbelts. We will take off thanks to an aircraft tow and, after reaching an altitude of about 750 metres, we will be able to start our descent using only the wind.

During the approximately 20-30 minute flight, we will be able to admire the province of Pavia from a new perspective and realise our dream of being a pilot. Thecertified instructor will let us take the controls and try out some simple but exciting manoeuvres.

Each flight is unique and there will certainly be a good dose of adrenaline!

The activity lasts a total of about 1 hour and includes an initial briefing, flight and final debriefing.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is open to everyone from 14 years of age, with a height between 1.30 m and 1.95 m. The weight limit is 110 kg.

Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied on site by a parent or responsible adult.

Please note! The time selected is purely indicative: the time at which the experience takes place may vary depending on your position at the meeting point.

The activity takes place all year round subject to weather conditions.

Up to 3 people can be booked, but the flight will be carried out by 1 person at a time, together with the pilot.

The aircraft used is a Grob G 103 Twin Astir, a two-seater medium-wing training glider. The maximum speed that can be reached is 250 km/h.

The meeting place cannot be reached by public transport.
