Have you ever imagined hovering in the sky, your hands on the controls of an aeroplane, as the view opens up below you? Now you can really do it!
In Melpignano, in the heart of Salento, an unforgettable experience awaits you: a 20-minute flight aboard a Cessna 172. From the runway to the endless sky, you will be at the controls thanks to the dual control system, always flanked by an experienced pilot.
For one day, the sky will be yours: become a pilot and experience the magic of flight!
What we will do
The appointment is at theMelpignano (LE) airfield, at the time selected during the booking process. The pilot will welcome you and introduce you to the fascinating world of aviation: you will learn more about the operation of the aircraft and the safety procedures to be adopted on board.
Afterwards, you will board theCessna 172 Skyhawkaircraft , a single-engine, four-seat, high-wing touring aircraft with dual controls. You will take your seat next to the pilot, in front of the control panel, while you are shown the basic controls and procedures.
And here we go: take off! Once airborne, you will experience 15-20 minutes of pure adrenaline flying over theSalento hinterland. From above, you will be able to admire the expanses of countryside, the narrow streets that criss-cross the small villages. And that's not all: under the pilot's supervision, you can even take the controls of the plane and experience the thrill of flying for real, in total safety.
After a scenic circuit in the skies over Melpignano, we will return to the airfield where you will receive your Certificate of Participation, a special memento of this incredible experience in the skies!
Between preparation, briefing and flight, the experience lasts a total of about 30 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 14. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied on the plane by a parent or responsible adult.
Other information
Pleasenote: this is anindividual experience; in addition to the Participant, only 1 Companion may board the aircraft at no additional cost. Any other accompanying persons must remain waiting at the airfield during the activity.
The activity takes place all year round at weekends.
You will be on board theCessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft, a single-engine four-seater high-wing touring aircraft, equipped with dual controls.
The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport.
It is possible to take videos and/or photos during the flight.
