Ultralight pilot for a day in Casale Monferrato

Have you always dreamt of being a pilot? Now you can become one... for a day.

Take part in a special flying mission at our school and experience a day as one of our student pilots. After a theoretical course in which you will learn the basics of flying, you will become familiar with the controls on an authentic flight simulator.

But the most exciting moment will be the one you will experience on board an ultralight aircraft, with a test flight alongside a professional instructor. Take the controls, let's fly!

What we will do

We will meet you at theCasale Monferrato airport . Upon your arrival we will introduce you to our flight school, taking you on a tour of the premises and hangar.

We will then move to the Student Lounge for a theoretical course of about 2 hours, during which we will illustrate the basics of flying and the main characteristics of light aviation aircraft through a series of video lessons.

This will be followed by an in-depth look at instrumentation, flight controls and basic manoeuvres performed on board the aircraft. We will practice using a professional flight simulator such as Lockheed Martin or Flight Simulator 2020 to familiarise ourselves with the manoeuvres seen in the classroom.

After a coffee break, we will head to the hangar and begin preparation and pre-flight checks under the supervision of the instructor. We will then board the ultralight aircraft - Coavio DF 2000 or Savannah VG - for our piloting test. After filling out the QTB (On-Board Technical Notebook) and completing the boarding procedures, we will do the final checks before take-off and start-up.

It will then be time to take off from the runway and take to the skies to enjoy this first flying experience. At the instructor's side, we will fly for about 30 minutes , trying out all the manoeuvres seen previously, in total safety thanks to the dual controls of our ultralight aircraft.

We will fly over the hills of Monferrato, experiencing a sense of freedom and adrenaline that will fuel our passion for flying even more. What if the next step was to become a professional pilot?

Once back on the ground, you will receive a certificate of participation to take home with you the memory of this incredible day.

The total duration of the activity is 4 hours, including 2 hours of theory, 30 minutes of flying and the remaining time divided between school presentation and simulator practice.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is open to everyone aged 12 and over. Minors must be accompanied by an adult who must come to the venue with proof of identity and sign a release form.

Anyone who is in good health, less than 1.95 m tall and weighs less than 110 kg may fly.

The experience is available daily.

The aircraft used for the test flight is an ultralight complete with Coavio DF 2000 or Savannah VG dual controls, which can accommodate one passenger in addition to the pilot.

At the facility there is a relaxation area, an internal shop for purchasing aviation-themed gadgets, toilets, and a visitors' area where any accompanying persons will be entertained by the staff. The ground-floor facility is accessible to persons with mobility disabilities.

Dogs are allowed if kept on a leash in the designated areas.
