Pilot for a day in the province of Turin

Experience a day as a protagonist of the skies in command of a state-of-the-art aircraft!

By becoming a 'pilot for a day' in Mazzè, in the province of Turin, you will experience the thrill of commanding a real aircraft and learn the basics of flying in the company of an Aeroclub D'Italia-certified instructor .

You will fly over Lake Viverone, the Serra Morenica of Ivrea and its lakes, going as far as Pont-Saint-Martin in Valle d'Aosta and back. 1 hour briefing and 1 hour flight to snatch all its secrets from the sky!

What we will do

The meeting point is at the airfield in Mazzé (TO), 30 minutes before the time indicated in the booking. Here you will be welcomed by theAeroclub D'Italia Certified Instructor who will follow you step by step through this adrenaline-filled experience.

The flight mission will consist of a basic training where you will test your skills and aptitude for flying a Tecnam P92-J two-seater ultralight aircraft.

The flight will be preceded by a briefing of about 30 minutes, during which the instructor will give you preliminary instructions on what you are going to do in the air, focusing on safety aspects and the technical characteristics of the aircraft used. You will learn how to follow procedures, pre-flight checks, the use of checklists, and finally take the aircraft into the air, obviously always at the instructor's side.

During the flight time, which will be about 60 minutes, you will fly over wonderful landscapes, from Lake Viverone to the Serra Morenica of Ivrea, which separates Canavese from Biella, and the lakes of Ivrea (Campagna, San Michele, and Sirio). At the helm of the ultralight, you will take to the skies over the Valle d'Aosta until you reach Pont-Saint-Martin, then turn back towards the Castello di Pavone and Lake Candia, and conclude with a return to base andlanding.

At the end of the flight mission there will be a debriefing in which you will be able to discuss with the instructor the feelings you experienced at the controls of the aircraft and during the various flight situations. Finally, you will receive a certificate of participation and theFuture Pilot's Kite, as a memento of this day of incredible emotions.

The experience will last a total of about 2 hours, with 1 hour of flying and 1 hour between briefing and debriefing.

Who it is aimed at

The minimum age for participation is 16 years, with prior written parental consent for those under 18 years of age.

The participant must not exceed 110 kg in weight and 1.90 m in height. Suitability for the activity will in all cases be at the sole discretion of the instructor.

Other information

The activity takes place all year round at weekends. Thetime chosen for the experience may vary depending on weather conditions.

The flight takes place in a two-seater aircraft, which can accommodate the pilot and one participant. In the case of several participants, the briefing will be carried out jointly, with one flight following the other.

Important: It is necessary to arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes before the time chosen for the activity.

Any accompanying persons will be guests of the facility with the possibility of taking photos in the vicinity of the take-off and landing point, obviously accompanied by authorised personnel. The very welcoming facility has a bar, restaurant, toilets and children's play area.

Any accompanying animals are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash.

You can bring your own GoPro on board to take photos and videos, as long as the holder has a suction cup and not clamps.

The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; there is free parking on site.
