Pilot for a day between Lake Iseo, Franciacorta and Lake Garda

Get ready to take the controls and fly over the hills of Franciacorta and the waters of Lake Iseo. Accompanied by a certified instructor, you’ll enjoy a hands-on flying lesson — lasting 30, 45 or 60 minutes, whichever you choose — in complete safety, discovering the secrets of flying at first hand and experiencing the unique thrill of piloting the aeroplane yourself!

What we will do

Please arrive 10 minutes before the time selected when booking at the Comezzano-Cizzago (BS) airfield.A certified instructor will be there to welcome you in the clubhouse with a nice cup of coffee before you begin.

We’ll start with a briefing: how the flight works, the principles of aerodynamics, the on-board instruments, the manoeuvres you’ll be performing and the safety procedures. Then we’ll head out onto the runway.

You’ll board the Tecnam P92 Echo, a two-seater, dual-control high-wing microlight, recognisable by its yellow livery with blue trim: at the airfield, everyone calls it ‘il Giallino’. It’s an ultralight aircraft fitted with a ballistic parachute and advanced avionics, so you can fly with complete peace of mind. When booking, you can choose your preferred flight duration: 30, 45 or 60 minutes.

As soon as the wheels leave the ground, you’ll feel the thrust of the engine and the lightness of flight. The landscape will unfold beneath you: the hills and vineyards of Franciacorta, the Torbiere del Sebino nature reserve, Monte Isola rising from Lake Iseo and, further east, the vast expanse of Lake Garda. These are places you may already be familiar with from the ground, but from above you’ll truly appreciate their authentic beauty.

And you won’t just be a spectator. During the flight, under the constant supervision of one of our certified instructors – all of whom have a background in civil and military aviation – you’ll take the controls and the instructor will teach you some basic manoeuvres that you can try out: turns, climbs, descents and changes in speed. It’s a real test of your flying skills, serving as preparation for the course leading to your pilot’s certificate.

After landing, the experience will continue with a debriefing in the classroom lasting around 15 minutes: together with the instructor, you’ll analyse the route flown and the piloting concepts you’ve learnt. The experience will last a total of around 1 hour / 1 hour and a half, depending on the option chosen at the time of booking.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is open to everyone aged 16 and over. Those under 18 must be accompanied on site by a parent or responsible guardian.

To take part in the activity, participants must be no taller than 185 cm and weigh no more than 100 kg.

Flights operate all year round.

When booking, you can choose your preferred flight duration of 30, 45 or 60 minutes by selecting the relevant option in the booking box.

This is an individual activity: the introductory flight is for one participant, accompanied by an instructor.

Any accompanying guests are welcome and may wait in the clubhouse.

You can bring your mobile phone with you: during the flight, you’re free to take photos and record videos (when you’re not at the controls) , so you can take home memories of Franciacorta and the lakes seen from above.

The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport; free parking is available on site.
