Full description
Enjoy a 5-hour boat trip with swimming and snorkelling stops in the most beautiful coves of the Plemmirio Nature Reserve.
This is a protected marine area with 12 km of coastline, where you can admire cliffs dotted with tunnels and caves and the Plemmirio promontory, with its crevices between the rocks, from which geyser-like sprays of water emerge in particular weather and sea conditions.
The tour will include at least five stops to explore the wonderful seabed, plus seasonal fruit on board for a tasty break. Are you with us?
What we will do
We will meet at the small port of Syracuse, from where we will set sail for the Plemmirio Nature Reserve. We will sail for a few kilometres until we reach thismarine protected area, established in 2004.
The reserve is characterised by the most beautiful beaches in Sicily with crystal-clear water, golden sand and beautiful cliffs dotted with caves, such as the cave of stalactites or the cave of cheese, so called because of the many holes in the rocky walls.
The name Plemmirio derives from the promontory behind the coast, which slopes gently down to the sea and is characterised by a series of crevices between the rocks from which strong geyser-like sprays of water emerge.
The boat will stop at points where swimming and snorkelling are permitted. We will thus be able to dive into the sea of the reserve to discover its wonderful depths. Thanks to the establishment of the reserve, the seabed has been enriched with biodiversity. Snorkelling has thus become even more exciting, especially since this stretch of sea has been repopulated by tuna, sperm whales, dolphins and even giant mussels (pinna nobilis).
The tour will include five swimming stops in the most beautiful coves. Between swimming stops, we will refresh ourselves on the boat with water and fresh seasonal fruit.
The activity will last a total of 5 hours.

The boat allows participants in wheelchairs. To request boarding for passengers with reduced mobility, please inform the skipper at the contact details provided in your booking confirmation email.

The tour runs from April to mid-October, depending on weather and sea conditions, and is reserved for private groups of up to 6 participants.
The boat is a 7.50-metre cabin cruiser with awning, fresh water shower, first aid kit and stereo.
